Method Statement - Pressurisation-Done-9
1.0 Purpose:
1.1 This is to define the installation of Pressurization Unit used in this project

5.0 Responsibilities:
5.1 The Project Manager (PM) shall be responsible for the overall implementation
of the project quality plan, HSE plan and work instructions.
5.2 The Project Engineer is responsible to carry out detail Engineering and
preparation of shop drawings within the scope of contract project
specification.
5.3 Project engineer is responsible to co-ordinate and explain the works to be
carried out to the supervisors.
5.4 QA/QC is responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality work as per
specification/approved drawings.
5.5 The Project engineer is responsible to ensure the materials are as per approved
material submittal.
5.6 Project engineer/Site Engineer/Supervisor will inspect the equipment as per
manufacture’s recommendation prior to installation and are responsible for the
installation for the equipment as per approved drawings.
5.7 Supervisor/Storekeeper will inspect for any damage during shipping, handling
and storage.
5.8 Storekeeper will review the documents and verify the items with the packing
list.
5.9 Storekeeper is responsible for proper storage as per site requirement.
6.0 Safety:
6.1 Safety Officer will ensure the appropriate safety precautions to avoid any
unexpected events in protection, storage and handling of the material.
6.2 All safety precautions shall be followed as per the established Project safety
plan during the installation of services.
6.3 Proper scaffolding certified by Safety Engineer, safety harness shall be used
and secured, if required.
6.4 Dust masks, goggles and gloves shall be worn while doing cleaning and
chipping.
6.5 Work area shall be maintained neat and clean.
7.0 References:
10.1.1 All Civil activities to be checked for completion (i.e. Block work,
plaster, screed, flooring, painting etc) prior to shifting of pressurization
unit to the area where it should be installed.
10.1.2 Ensure access for the shifting of the pressurization unit to be checked
at site so that it can be moved with out damaging the pressurization
unit or civil works.
10.1.3 The pressurization unit is off loaded from the vehicle by crane as per
the installation manual of the manufacturers so that it is not damaged
during unloading.
10.1.4 Approved Builders work drawing and approved shop drawing to be
checked for setting out dimension for the installation of pressurization
unit.
10.1.5 The complete unit comprising of the expansion tank, pumps, panels,
interconnecting pipe work are mounted on a mild steel base plate is
rolled on pipes and placed on the foundation on approved vibration
isolator.
10.1.6 The make up pipe connections and chilled water connections to the
unit is done after installation of the pressurization set.
10.1.7 The incoming power supply and control wiring to the pump panel is
completed as per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
10.1.8 The pressure cut out switch is set to the required pressure requirement
and the controls checked with the help of the manufacturer’s
representative observing the installed pressure gauge.
10.1.9 The pressurization unit will be monitored and controlled by the
Building Management system for which there will be volt free contacts
in control panel of pressurization units and it will indicate common
fault, pump run status, panel healthy status.
10.1.10 Obtain installation certification from the specialist supplier.
11.0 Records:
Prepare work inspection request (WIR) and have them approved by Consultant.
