Vo Nhu Thanh is the Head of Mechatronics Division, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, The University
of Da Nang – University of Science and Technology. He received a B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering from
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, USA, in 2008, M.S degree in Mechatronics and Sensors System
Technology from Karlsruhe University of Applied Science, Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2012, and Ph.D degree in
Mechanical Intelligent System Engineering at Kagawa University, Japan, in 2017. He is a member of IEEE, ASME
and his current research interests include sound and image processing, neural networks, robotics, hydraulic control
system, and tactile sensing and display.

Hideyuki Sawada is a Professor at the Department of Applied Physic, School of Advanced Science and
Engineering, Waseda University. He received B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics from Waseda
University in 1990, 1992 and 1999, respectively. He is a member of IEEE, RSJ, IPSJ, IEICE, SICE, JSME and his
current research interests include sound and image processing, neural networks, robotics, human interfaces, and
tactile sensing and display.
