RELAYS
Relays can be used in a variety of applications where switching of high power is needed, such as auxiliary
lighting, heating fans, wipers and air conditioning equipment. Narva offers a comprehensive range of relays
with heavy-duty and twin relays now added to the existing range.
High temperature
Narva relays are manufactured in Europe to very exacting original equipment wire insulation
standards under the control of ISO9001. The relays feature silver contacts for Braided strap
durability and a removable metal mounting tab for convenient installation. All

relays are rated to 500,000 cycles and now feature a braided power strap for
increased reliability. Narva relays are available with resistors or diodes to protect Resistor or diode
protection
sensitive electronic equipment from voltage spikes. A resistor dampens a voltage
spike while allowing the current through, while a diode absorbs the power and stops the spike completely.

FLASHERS
Since the release of the original Narva Flasher range in 2004, flasher technology has continued to evolve.
Narva has a complete range manufactured to meet the highest international standards starting with the
low cost thermal units through to sophisticated electronic flashers with no load circuitry for use with
L.E.D lamps.
There are three basic flasher types: Thermal, Electro-Mechanical and Solid State Electronic. The introduction
of both Electro-Mechanical Flashers and Electronic Flashers has produced a higher level of reliability, a
clearer audible sound and a more consistent flash rate under load and
temperature variations. Electronic Flashers were introduced in
accordance with the function of “outage” or globe failure as
required by the Australian Design Rule, ADR 13. Early electronic
units are load sensitive, although new units are now available
with minimal to no load requirement for use with L.E.D lamps.
The range incorporates features such as pilot lamp
indication, hazard warning and heavy duty 5, 6 and 7 pin
units for B-Double and Road Train applications.
The most popular types can be purchased in bulk trays
and all types are available in retail blister packaging.

identification system as listed below.

This heavy-duty flasher operates at 12 or 24 volts and provides
continuous service rated for 35A load or 16 x 21 watt globes.
The “no-load” circuitry makes UltraFlash ideal for use with
L.E.Ds. Solid state electronics are sealed in a compound
which readily dissipates heat from the rugged die-cast
aluminium housing.
A unique folding plug adapts to existing connections and the
plug is bi-polar for reverse polarity operations. UltraFlash is
short circuit overload protected with a self resetting feature and
can operate within a temperature range of -40° to +82° Celsius
