1. 2018 CHANGES

- Removed the IR spot. The bench is kept at 6 spots.


- No special waiver rules during the playoffs
- Winners of the horserace competition get to choose their week 1 opponents.

2. LEAGUE COMPOSITION AND SCHEDULE

- The Brain Trust League will consist of 10 teams with no divisions.

- The regular season will be 12 weeks long. The semifinals will be a combination of weeks 13 and 14, and
the finals will be a combination of weeks 15 and 16.

- Weeks 1-9 of the regular season will be round robin. Weeks 10-12, teams will have the same matchups as
weeks 1-3.

- Four teams will select their week 1 opponent based on the results of an offseason competition. Each team
will have to make their selection directly following the draft. The selection order is as follows:

1) Ryan
2) Dave
3) DJ
4) Brett

3. DRAFT

- The draft will be snake type.

- Draft order is decided by a competition which is chosen by the 10 place finisher of the previous season.
- Draft picks can be traded prior to the draft. Traded draft picks must be texted in the group chat to be
updated on the draft board.
4. TEAM COMPOSITION

- Team rosters consist of the following: 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 RB/WR, 2WR, 1TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 D/ST, 1 K, and 6
bench spots.
- There are no keepers and no additional slot for IR.

- Teams must field a complete starting lineup for every week of the season. Having a player on a bye in the
starting lineup will result in a $5 fine. Having an injured player who has been listed as “out” the previous
day to the game will result in a $5 fine. Having an empty slot in your lineup will result in a $5 fine.

6. TIES AND PLAYOFF STANDINGS

- If there is a tie score, the winner will be whoever’s team has the lowest standard deviation. This rewards a
team for being well-rounded, instead of one that relies on one or two great players. A calculator for

- Four teams will advance to the playoffs after week 12 of the regular season. League standings are
determined as follows:

1) Team Record
2) Total Season Points For
3) Head to Head Record
4) Total Points Against (higher total advances)
5) Coin Flip

7. WINNINGS

1st Place = 60% of league pot


2nd Place = 30% of league pot
3rd Place = 10% of league pot

10 Place = Decides competition for next year’s draft order

8. WAIVERS AND TRADES

- Waivers are free agent auction will a season budget of $100.


- Players not claimed during the auction each week are free agents and can be picked up on a first come,
first serve basis for $0.
- Trades will go through automatically. The commissioners have the power to veto a trade if there is
evidence of collusion.

- The trade deadline is November 21 , the day before week 12 games begin.
