The term holocaust is used for a period between 30th January 1933-8th may 1945.In this

era six millions European Jews were killed by Germany under the command of Adolf

Hitler.The word holocaust is derived from “Holos”(whole) and “Kaustos”(burned). The

Holocaust was the systematic, bureaucratic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of

six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.

Holocaust is a word of Greek origin meaning "sacrifice by fire." The Nazis, who came to

power in Germany in January 1933, believed that Germans were "racially superior" and

that the Jews, deemed "inferior," were an alien threat to the so-called German racial

community .European Jews were killed on the basis of racial segregation.

The article is written to give knowledge to the audience about the history of

Holocaust. This source was produced to give people knowledge about the brutal killings

of European Jews ,Roma people ,the disabled ones and few salves comprising of

Russians ,Poles and others by Germans under the command of Adolf Hitler. It all

happened on the basis of the mindset that Germans are racial superior and European

Jews and other groups are racial inferior

Germans to invade the world. The fear of getting beaten in all races of life by European

Jews and other groups forced them to use these bad tactics of Anti-Semitism. The

Germans deported the Jews to the Ghettos under the policy of extermination and they

called it the “Final solution to the Jewish Question”.

The question which arises in the minds of the reader after reading this source is “Are

the Germans really changed now and Do they still have hatred for the Jewish

Europeans in their minds or will they again use these bad tactics to gain power against

the other Europeans”

This is really important to get to know about the origin of racial segregation and Anti-

Semitism and the dangers of racial discrimination that may arise in the future. The era

of 18th and 19th century has many events and examples of persecutions and killings on

the basis of race.
