Conference Description

The upcoming 12th FEELTA international conference focuses on the contemporary

impact of globalization on teaching English worldwide and the many professional and
pedagogical issues it has given rise to. We welcome educators and scholars, policy
makers and administrators to join the discussion as we address these issues.

Abstract submission opens March 20, 2018

Deadline for submissions: July 31, 2018
Notification of acceptance: August 15, 2018

Working languages are English and Russian

Conference Subtopics
We invite papers on the following subtopics:
● Education and language policy
● EFL teaching methods
● ESP/EAP
● ELT curriculum and syllabus design
● Materials writing
● Teacher education and professional development
● Assessment and evaluation
● Linguistics
● English in the Pacific Rim countries
● Intercultural communication and cultural awareness
● Teaching literature and the arts
● IT in language education
● Interpreting and translation
● Other related areas

Types of Presentations
● Papers: 25-minute presentation
● Workshops: 85 minutes
● Poster presentations
● Panel discussions: 85 minutes

Registration
International participants: US$180

The registration fee covers lunch, coffee/tea breaks, a conference kit and access to all
sessions for the duration of the three-day conference.
