IMPORTANCE OF RELIGION

Christianity has always stressed a personal relationship with God as the touchstone of

religion. Religion have sacred history, narrative and mythologies which may preserved in sacred

scriptures, and symbols and Holy places, that aim to explain the meaning of life, the origin of

life, or the universe. Religion is a belief in God and the activities that are not connected with this

belief, such as praying or worshipping in a building such a church or temple. This is also a belief

in a supernatural power or power that control human destiny. A belief concerning the

supernatural, sacred, or divine and the practices and institutions associated with such belief.

Religion is the most intensive and comprehensive method of valuing that is experienced by

humankind. Religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature and purpose of the universe

especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agencies. The majority of religions

have developed starting from a revelation based on the exemplary history of a nation of a prophet

or a wise man who taught an ideal of life.

The Iglesia ni Cristo believes that the Bible is the only book inspired by God. It is the sole

basis of all their beliefs and practices. The Iglesia ni Cristo believes that God the Father is the

creator deity and the only true God. The church believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God and

the mediator between God the Father and humanity, and was created by God the Father. They

believes that the Holy spirit is the power of God and also not a deity, being sent by God the

Father and Jesus Christ to guide God’s people.

On the Born Again they are also worship God. And in their church they are having a

simple church which is no painting or statue to be worship. And I observe that they are also

following rules in singing. In praying, the Pastor leads for us. And the other people talking
silently while the pastor having a prayer to all. A Born Again Christian is someone who has

repented of their sins and turned to Christ for their salvation, and as a result has become part of

God’s family forever. All this takes place as God’s Spirit works in our lives. My prayer is to

become a God’s family. By a simple prayer, tell God that you are a sinner and you need to

change it. Then ask to come into your life and save you. God will come to live within you by his

spirit, and you will be born again.

After reading and observing major religions of the world, Iglesia ni Christo and Born

Again are different in their concept specially in worshipping, fasting, festivals and traditions. I

found one significant thing in all major religions that they believe in one God and accepts of

God existence. No matter whom we are and belongs which religion but at end of the day we all

stand up on a single platform of one God.
