hiring of qualified faculty (including at least 01
Ph.D in Electrical Engineering) and lab staff,
establishment of other laboratories required for
third semester and beyond must be given urgent
attention in intimation to PEC. Further, the
university must make all possible efforts to get the
dedicated campus on Japan Road, Islamabad to
be ready for occupancy by September / October
2010, before shifting of 3rd semester students.

EA&QEC decision:
The case was discussed and it was agreed that
the University of Lahore should provide proof for
legal status to open a new separate campus in
ICT/Islamabad area. It was also proposed that the
firm commitments of the university management
may be sought out on the provision of qualified

 required faculty/lab staff, as reported in the zero
visit report, along with the development of
infrastructure and other resources to assure the
quality of engineering education for the students.
