VIRTUAL CENTER: DELIA’S CHARACTER ANALYSIS

The story Virtual Center introduced the main character (Delia) in the story as one
of the unprivileged people of the Philippines in futuristic times. Delia works in the virtual
center as a caretaker for rich people who chose to live a life that is entirely just a
simulation. This system led her brother into thinking that their life is just an unending
cycle with class divisions. Nick says that their system is strategically planned to make
sure that people in the lower class never get to choose their own freedom. I think that
their state in life became Delia’s motivation to further strive and be obedient to the law
even if her brother always attempts to get to her head.
