Learning Activities:
1. Learning Activities:
a. Meet with Teacher – I will be doing a mental math strategy using an Easter ten frame.
Each student will be given an egg carton with eggs inside and I will have students count
the eggs in the carton. We will then start by having kids put 2 eggs in the carton and the
rest in the middle and then they will tell me how many more eggs you would need to
add to make 10 eggs altogether. Once students have told me how many more they
would need, they will tell me the number sentence verbally and then write the number
sentence for that problem on a whiteboard. If time, we will do the same thing with
subtraction. We will practice our counting on and counting back strategies.
b. All by Myself – Dots Page – will explain this to them at the beginning of class. They will
have to take the first number and figure out the other number to make it equal 10.
c. Tech Tub – Starfall math or mathletics
d. Helping Hands – Dice Game that we learnt yesterday – reminder that after you shake
the dice, those numbers go into the first column and then they have to figure out the
number that makes it equal 10 and whatever number that is will go into the next
column and then they will write the number sentence in the next column.
