From the Pastor’s Corner
Greetings to All!
As your new Pastor, I've had the opportunity to meet those who have been attending worship, or who
attended the funeral for Karen LaBelle, and a couple of folks out in the
‘community. It has been great!
Jam looking to get to know you more than for just a few minutes before.or after worship.
value spending some time in small groups — maybe with a couple of families, or several friends, or youth,
whomever you might feel more comfortable with. I believe this is a way I can get to know you as
individuals and families, your history within this church, and the history of this church.
I'd like to have the opportunity to meet members and friends of the congregation in small groups (at the
church, in a restaurant, member’s homes, in the parsonage - once I get my stuff), to get to know members
and to hear about the Osseo UCC / Congregational church history from various members experiences.
Dates/times & some locations to meet will be available for sign-up in the Narthex, or folks can call me to
sign-up. Meeting places will include options at the church, a restaurant, someone's home — if someone
volunteers to host, in the park around the picnic table, etc. 6 — 8 folks per group. It can be with or without
food, or drinks.
Here are some possible dates/times. Won't you sign up or create another optional date/time:
Monday, September 10, at 4:15 PM —6:15 PM — Church Fellowship Hall
‘Thursday, September 13, at 1:30 PM — 3:30 PM ~ Norske Nook
Tuesday, September 17, at 10:00 AM — 12:00 PM — Norske Nook
Wednesday, September 19, at 5:00 PM — 7:00 PM — Church Fellowship Hall
Any options for date/time and locations will be announced and or if you have several folks to make
up a group, let me know.
More options coming next month.

As September approaches, it signals the start of another church
school year. ‘The start of a new year means you are growing up. As you grow
in age, God wants you to grow in your knowledge of him. God wants you to attend Sunday School and
learn more about him through the Bible.
Please come and register your child, make a craft and have a snack. This is a great time to join in
fellowship to kick off our new year!
Sunday School will be 9:00 to 10:00 each Sunday and it's so important to be as consistent as
possible as we spend time prepping the lesson for the amount of students enrolled, Any
questions call
Lynne Anderson at 715-597-2215. Sunday School is a great place to learn and grow in the love
our Lord Jesus Christ. We want you to be a part of our Sunday school program and hope to see
you on Sunday, September 9th. I so enjoyed the children last year and look forward to another
fan filled year.
Sincerely,
The Ministry of Education

We have lost a special person in our lives — Karen LaBelle. She will be truly missed but her
memory will be forever in our hearts.
We want to thank the United Church of Christ, Pastor Lois, Julie Garber & Dennis Frame, the
Women’s Fellowship for the wonderful meal, the singers and choir that fulfilled Karen’s
wishes. Thank you to everyone who donated memorials, brought food and sent flowers. Your
kindness is greatly appreciated. Karen’s church family was very important to her and was
always a big part of her life. We could not have gotten through our sadness without all your
love and support.
