Department of Health
NATIONAL CAPITAL REGIONAL OFFICE
I. RATIONALE:
The Department of Health, has decided to embark on a more focused implementation of critical
health intervention. With its new battle cry “Boosting Universal Health Care via FOURmula
One Plus” otherwise known as F1 Plus aims to ensure that all Filipinos achieve better
timelines, responsiveness, and the best quality health outcomes for patients while being
protected from health inequities. To further ensure that all Filipinos are being provided with
the best health services, the Department of Health, in coordination with local government units,
is bound to provide affordable and quality health services to the marginalized population
through a series of health outreach caravans.
However, in order to reach more families and to ensure that every Filipino including the
underprivileged who are not listed under NHTS-PR has access to health services, HOPE will
be introduced to the beneficiaries of the Modified Conditional Cash Transfer (MCCT).
II. OBJECTIVES:
To introduce the Health Outreach for People Empowerment to the MCCT beneficiaries
To provide health services and promote health awareness to the MCCT beneficiaries
To facilitate the involvement and participation of the different partners (DSWD,
PhilHealth, LGU) during the conduct of HOPE to the MCCT beneficiaries
III. METHODOLOGY

with the following services:

Public Health Nurses (PHN) with the representatives from Forward Barangay Pineda will man
the registration at the entrance of the venue. The participants will sign the registration sheet
with their name, age, sex, address and signature. Upon completion, the participants will be

B. Anthropometric Measurements
Body measurements including height, weight and waist and hip circumference and blood
pressure will be taken. Then, the Body Mass Index and waist-hip ratio will be computed. The

senior citizens and persons with disability will be directed to the SC/PWD post, the pregnant
women to the pregnant post and the others to the regular post.
