FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Title: Single phase prepaid energy meter.

Description: The concept of prepaid mean “pay first and the use”. Enter your desired
amount of balance and then use electricity.
We prepared hardware using PIC 1600F microcontroller and energy metering IC
MCP3905.Programming was done in microC. Simulation of circuit was done in Proteus7.5.
There are two parts of meter one is costumer side and other is authentication side. Pulses
from energy metering IC was given to counter pin of the microcontroller and then according
units were decremented. If the units are equal to zero then home appliances are cutoff from
the supply.
