Formation:

Verb-ますstem + かた (方)

Example sentences:

この男は言葉の選び方を間違えているのだ。
This man must have chosen the wrong words.
kono otoko wa kotoba no erabikata o machigaete iru no da.

工業化と都市化の影響が、人々の生き方や付き合い方を変え始めています。
The effects of industrialization and urbanization are beginning to
change the way people live and interact with each other.
kougyouka to toshika no eikyou ga, hitobito no ikikata ya tsukiaikata o
kaehajimete imasu.

慈悲心にあふれた考え方で、世間も必ずや拍手を送るでしょう。
It is a charitable thought and the whole world should applaud it.
jihishin ni afureta kangaekata de, seken mo kanarazuya hakushu o
okuru deshou.

ジェニー、そんな口のきき方は感心しませんね。
Jenny, I do not like your tone, dear.
jenii, sonna kuchi no kikikata wa kanshin shimasen ne.

あなたは苦しんでいる、あなたはさよならを告げる言い方が、わからないん
だ。
You are miserable, because you don t know how to say good-bye.
anata wa kurushinde iru, anata wa sayonara o tsugeru iikata ga,
wakaranain da.

飽き飽きしてうんざりなのは分かるよ。だから、そんなしゃべり方をしてい
るんだろうね。
I know you re sick and tired. That s why you are talking this way.
akiaki shite unzari na no wa wakaru yo. dakara, sonna shaberikata o
shite irun darou ne.

フライス盤や旋盤の使い方を父に習えたら面白かっただろうと思うよ。
It would have been fun if my father had gotten to teach me how to use
a mill and lathe.
furaisuban ya senban no tsukaikata o chichi ni naraetara omoshirokatta
darou to omou yo.

その先生は、ピアノの基礎と、手の正しい置き方を教えてくれ、初期の段階
では大いに助けてくれました。
That teacher taught me the basics of piano and how to hold my hand
in the correct position, and helped me along at the early stages.
