Chapter Two
Parameter Settings
(Note: all the standard values are just for your reference and you can set them by
yourself according to the material.)
3.1.1 Area
The default setting is largest working size based on the machine you buy, such as model JGSH
10060, X is 1000mm, Y is 600mm. You can set them smaller according to your products.
Pulse Number:
Here we only refer to X/Y move Pulse number. “12800” is the best choice for this machine.
X/Y move:
By setting these two value, you can get a more precise cutting.
The standard value: 31.25 and 31.25, for generally used
Now I will explain how to get this two values:
First you can fill Xmove and Ymove with 25 and 25 respectively or something else randomly. Let
us say A=25. Supposed you are going to cut a square with B×B=100mm×100mm, you did it in a
normal way. After finishing cutting, you can measure the actual size of the square you cut, you
will find the length and width are not 100mm exactly. Pls write down the actual size separately,
such as actual length C=125mm. So here you will notice two points: one is that A=25 is not good
for precise process; the other is how to set the right value for Xmove and Ymove(we call the value
as D). It should be like this:
D= C*A/B, here we can figure out D=31.25. “31.25” is the best parameter for this
machine on almost all cuttings. Or you can test by yourself following the
formula.
A:number in the X/Y move field.
B: the size you want to cut.
C: the actual size cut.
Z move
Z move is for the machine which has equipped with auto-feeder system..
Usually the Pulse Number for Z axis is 6400. You can get the value for Z move by using the
same way as X/Y move.
Z vel
Set the speed of Z axis moving.
Z acc
Set the acceleration of Z axis moving.
Start Vel: The start speed of the laser head. Standard value(SV): 5
X max Vel: start speed of the X. Standard value(SV): 15
Y Max Vel: start speed of the Y. SV: 5
Generally speaking, Y max velocity and Start velocity should smaller than X max velocity.
Curvature: the smoothness of curve. SV: 25.
None Vel: Distance of laser travels per unit time.
None ACC: A increasing rate of velocity.
Auto setup cut acc: If you select the Auto setup cut acc here, you will disuse work acc in
processing parameter.
For None Vel and None ACC, these parameters are close to the parameters in the processing
parameter. If we set 200 and 2000 here, them we should try to set 150 and 1500 in the
parameter setting as below:
Cut curve:
Set the Work Energy and Min Energy. Generally, Min Energy is 15 smaller than Working
Energy
Work speed: 1-150, depending on the processing result.
Work acc: 20-1500 also depending on the processing result.
.
Partition: the distance between two adjacent lines, which should be above 0.05.
Draw edge: select to create a new layer which is used for cutting the outline of your object.
Start fill: click this icon to confirm the filling mode.
Overlap length: set this parameter as 0.5-3 to make the cutting result closed.
Out put: select the option, the machine will process the layer as you set.
Deselect it; the machine will not out put this layer.
3.3 Bmp scan pre-setting
Before you do BMP engraving, you have to do some bmp scan setting.
Create a 50mm*50mm square in Photoshop or painter in your computer and then input it to our
software.
Input it to our software and set its processing parameter as below:
Before you do fill processing, you have to do some hatch scan setting.
Create a 50*50 square in the software and set its processing parameter as below:
Set the same velocity and ACC as you set in the processing parameter.
Adjust the values in the offset to solve the problem and make the final engraving result as below:
You have to repeat the above procedure for several times to find the best offset and then save it.
Immediately work: Once you press start on the LCD panel, the laser head will begin work
immediately from the position where it is.
Home work: Once you press start on the LCD panel, the laser head will move to the position first
where the product is and then begin the work.
3.5.2 Stop point set up
The position where the laser head lies after finishing process.
3.5.3 Path setup
Nesting: means the processing sequence is from inside to outside.
General: means the processing sequence is from outside to inside.
About the up to down and down to up option, or array path by row and array path by column
mean the direction of laser moving. Take an example, Up to down means the laser head will move
from up to down..
Create Path: click to activate your choice.
For Normal and path, pls see the following picture:
