1.3 Input Data

a) Live load surcharge equivalent to 1.2 mtr. ht earth fill has been considred.
b) On top slab 65mm thick wearing coat is assumed for SIDL.
c) Lane width taken-3.5 m
d) Total no of lanes - 2 lane
e) In case of load dispersion wearing coat thickness, fill thickness and top slab thickness is
considered wherever applicable.

1.4 Various loads has been adopted as per IRC-6

a) Dead load.
b) Super Imposed DL includes wt. of crash barrier, and wearing coat.
c) Earth pressure and hydrostatic pressure.
d)
Live load - 70R Wheel ,70R Tracked, 40 T Boggie and Class A load in case of top slab whichever
Critical/Applicable.
e) Live load surcharge.
f) Braking load is taken as 20% of the live load on top slab.
g) Impact load for live load is considerd as per Cl. 208 of IRC : 06 - 2016.
