Electric Power Installations. The aim of this research was to solve some problems on teacher and students. The problem was obtained after researchers conducted observations in the learning process by subject teachers Installing Electric Power Installation of Multi-storey Buildings in class XII TITL 3 of SMKN 5 Medan on July 23, 2018 found that indicators of poor learning outcomes of students caused by: (1) learning method used by teachers consist of presentations, assignments, questioning and answering activities; (2) in the range of 90 minutes, teacher using 75 minutes to explain the material using the lecture method without learning’s media and the remaining 15 minutes are used to frequently asked questions and exercises in the student worksheet; (3) there are some students who get bored and eventually rowdy and ignored the teacher's explanation. There is a student who often draw when learning’s time; (4) learning support facilities and infrastructure (projectors) are very limited. Researcher chose to implement the Class Action Research and applying the model of Discovery Learning with Scientific Approach to improve learning outcomes of students who have not been optimal due to the lack of proper learning methods. Researcher used cycle research model. The model used a spiral cycle, this research model developed by Kemmis and Taggart. The spiral research model includes planning, action, observation and reflection. Application of Discovery Learning models can improve the results of class XII student TITL of SMKN 5 Medan on the subjects of Installing Multi-storey Electric Power Installations. This is shown by the results of study in the first cycle from the knowledge-domain reached 78.85%, the attitudes-domain reached 80.77% and skills-domain reached 84.62%. The achievement percentage of the knowledge-domain in cycle II was 88,46%, attitude-domain was 92,31% and skill-domain was 92,31%.
