Setup Instructions

STEP 1: Install the Software (look for PL2303 file on CD)

 First, install the driver for your version of Windows
 Note: there are separate drivers for Windows XP and Windows
Vista

STEP 2: Plug-in the Hardware

 Connect the USB-to-serial adapter to your PC's USB port, and
follow the on-screen instructions

STEP 3: Set the Right COM Port

 Right click on MY COMPUTER then click PROPERTIES
 Click HARDWARE, then DEVICE MANAGER
 Double click PORTS (COM & LPT), and look for PROLIFIC USB-
to-SERIAL Com Port
 Double click that to open it
 Then click PORT SETTINGS, then ADVANCED
 Change the COM PORT NUMBER to COM1(or any other com port not
in use)
 Then click OK
 If you get a warning message, click YES
 Then click OK, and close DEVICE MANAGER
 Finally, restart your PC
