Dear Sir/Madam,

This letter is to inform you about the progress regarding the renovation of Michiel de Ruyterweg
for the construction of tram line 19.

The wintery conditions in November and December of 2010 mean that the work has fallen
several weeks behind schedule.

The work will is due to be completed in April 2011 at which time the public roads will be
reopened to traffic.

Until then, the work will be carried out in phases:

Friday 11 March, 2011

• Julianalaan will be open to all traffic.
• Michiel de Ruyterweg between Mijnbouwplein and Julianalaan will be open as a one-way
street for all traffic coming from Sebastiaan Bridge.
• Jaffalaan will be closed to motorized traffic from the junction with Michiel de Ruyterweg.
Cyclists will be routed through the grounds of the TU.

Wednesday 6 April, 2011

• Jaffalaan, Michiel de Ruyterweg, and Zuidplantsoen will be open to all traffic. The work
on the renovation of Michiel de Ruyterweg will be completed by this date.

The dates of the above phases are only estimates, as the progress of the work depends in part
on weather conditions. The extensive work being carried on the sewage system in particular
depends on having enough dry weather. If there is a lot of rain, the work on the sewage system
will be delayed, thereby delaying the overall renovation.

Stadsgewest Haaglanden (the Hague Region) and the Municipality of Delft will do everything
possible to minimize the inconvenience caused by this work. However, you might experience
some inconvenience during this period, and we ask for your understanding in this regard.

If you have any questions regarding this letter, please telephone the Municipality of Delft on
weekdays, on telephone number 14015. Press 1 for the Municipality of Delft, followed by 2 for
