• Tutored a anywhere from 1-3 children at a time, that had a wide range of scholastic abilities in all
subjects for a local elementary school in my community
• Fall 2016, I helped out at Coit Creative Arts academy in the Lower Elementary MoCi classroom
twice a week for an hour.
Math
• Worked with a student who had a learning disability at Sibley Elementary in Grand Rapids.
Worked on basic math skills such as addition and subtraction, and number sequence.
English
• Worked with two students, one third grader and one second grader, at Griffin Elementary in
Grand Haven on their reading and writing skills. This included guided read aloud and working on
graphic organizers during the tutoring sessions.
Life Skills Classroom
• Volunteered in a classroom over winter break in Missouri in a Life Skills 9-12th grade classroom.
Grand Valley State University January 2015&2016
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service – volunteered at a local Good Will store. Duties included
inspecting, sorting and organizing the contents of 35 boxes of home goods that were eventually placed
within the store for local residents to purchase.
Alpha Omicron Pi 2014-2017
My sorority conducts a number of volunteer events throughout the school year including our Spaghetti
dinner, which raises money for our national philanthropy, The Arthritis Foundation. We also have a local
philanthropy that we raise money for which is Indian Trails Camp, a special needs camp in Grand Rapids
MI that hosts people of all age and helps them with a wide variety of work. Along with the major events I
do a minimum of 15 volunteer hours a semester.
Senior Citizen Club: GVSU 2014-2015
Spend time at multiple senior citizen resident homes throughout the Grand Rapids area. Visit and play
games with the senior citizens who reside there. Participate in the organization of two dances held during
the fall and spring that raise money for our senior citizens.

LEADERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
• House Manager (June 2015-May 2016) – I was elected into the House Manager position for my
sorority. This position requires communication between the woman living in the house and our house
mom as well as the chapter and our headquarters. I relay any information that had to do with house
and our property.

• Assistant New Member Educator (November 2015-November 2016) – I was held this position in my
sorority for two semesters, within those two semesters I taught 50 women all about my sorority. This
included the requirements about being an active semester, how to get involved in the chapter and the
Grand Valley community, as well as be the sister girls need when they have questions.
• Recruitment Officer (January 2016- October 2017) – I assisted the Vice President of Membership
Recruitment for my sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, with the ins and outs of recruitment. This was a
strenuous position since only a select few woman were able to hold this position.
• Panhellenic Judicial Board (December 2016- March 2018) – I work with a panel of 16 other women
and we hold the Panhellenic community to the standards that we have determined acceptable. Women
come to us with issues around the community, we determine what an acceptable course of action is.
• Panhellenic Finance Board (December 2016- March2018) – As a board we determine which events
we will financially support based on pre-conceived requirements.

ACHIEVEMENTS
• “I am Grand Valley Award” recipient- nominated by my Resident Assistant (2015). Award is given
to those students exemplifying leadership both in and outside the classroom. The program recognizes
student leaders who are the essential elements of the University community, including student
employees, leaders in student organizations, resident assistants, students that excel in the classroom.
