1. EVAPORATION: Heat from the sun warms the water in seas, oceans, rivers and
lakes. This makes some of the water to evaporate.

2. CONDENSATION: The water vapour in the air rises and cools. It turns into water
droplets and ice, which form clouds.

3. PRECIPITATION: The water droplets combine and grow in size. When the droplets
become bigger they become too heavy to stay in the cloud and fall to the ground.

4. COLLECTION: Precipitation falls and collects in rivers and lakes. Some of water
falls on the ground and is absorbed. It is called groundwater.
