With the Brawl Stars “pipeline” expected for global release, brawlers will likely be
released more frequently. That’s pretty exciting! But for players hoping to stay competitive,
create relevant content, or just keep up-to-date with their roster options, f2p progression may
not be sufficient. For those of you hoping to make the odd purchase to support the game, here’s
a breakdown of how to prioritize brawler-related purchases to get the most bang for your buck!
(i.e. Which rarities to prioritize purchasing and which rarities to try to open from brawl boxes).
Super
Rare Mythic
(0.1291%) (0.1165%)
0.5556% 0.0000%
Epic Rare
(0.1240%) (0.1074%)
e.g. 0.1098%
Legendary
Probability
In this example, relative purchase priority would be Rare, Legendary, Mythic, Epic, Super Rare.
The Math Behind It All
LEGEND
• G = Gems
• D = Dollar
• B = Brawl Boxes
• Order of Purchase Priority = (1) | (2) | (3) | (4) | (5) – subject to variation.
BEST DEAL
1850 Gems/$139.99 = 13.21 G/D
For legendary brawlers, the purchase priority significantly depends on the variable
probability. A lower legendary probability increases the value of purchasing a legendary brawler.
This consequentially impacts the purchase priority of other brawler rarities. Without a means to
determine the extent that in-game “luck” varies, stagnant probability values were considered
and compared to the optimal B/D of the other rarities to produce ranges for each legendary
probability zone. These results were produced:
• (1) <0.1074%
• (2) 0.1074% - 0.1165%
• (3) 0.1165% - 0.1240%
• (4) 0.1240% - 0.1291%
• (5) 0.1291% - 0.5556%
• (Do Not Purchase) >0.5556% — Max event ticket value (3.17 B/D) is more worth it
when considering the average brawl boxes required to unlock a legendary naturally.
Plus, by using event tickets, a player scores other loot along the way. 0.5556%… we can
dream!
Notes For Your Consideration:
• The probability associated with legendary and rare drops vary, but collectively summate
to 2.7936%.
• Non-brawler value obtained from Brawl Boxes were not considered when determining
B/D.
• The quantity of brawl boxes required to open a brawler may substantially deviate from
the averages depicted.
• Greater variance or “luck” is associated with lower percentages, thus increasing the risk-
reward of rarer drops. (That’s loot systems for you…)
• Purchasing a legendary brawler retains luck & comes with bonuses (e.g. coins). Luck
diminishes after opening a new brawler of any rarity, however.
• Patience is virtue. By waiting for more brawlers of varying rarities to be released before
opening brawl boxes, each box signifies a chance to unlock more than one brawler.
