Abstract

In this section it is necessary to synthesize the content of the report. A brief communication consists on
describing the goals, followed by the method applied to achieve the goals. Next, the results should be
concise, followed by the main conclusions. It is important to keep parts of the abstract connected. In order
to be brief, authors may consider using a maximum of 250 words.

Key words: Here, the report should mention between 3 to 5 key words separated by comas, which allows
the reader to understand the main topics of the report.

Introduction
The introduction should provide a background of
the topic that is approached, so the reader can
understand the significance of the report. In
order to write it objectively, the author should
start by defining the problem, and add support
literature. Following paragraphs may review
different aspects of the literature that may
contribute for the idea in development or even
point out some controversies. By the end of this
section, a brief conclusion is important and it can
be done in two ways: by adding a summary of a
technique (in case the work has focused on
technological development); or by including a
summary of the main findings. It is also
interesting if the author is able to add comments
about the overall importance of the work.
Materials and Method
In this section it is important to firstly identify
the type of work. Next, describing the method
consists on explaining the steps used to develop
the work and the details are welcome. For
example, it is important to provide name of the
equipments as well as their brands and place of
fabrication. Additionally, they units of the
measurements should be properly described
accordingly with the international system.
Another important topic in the method is the
explanation of how the findings were analyzed.
Results
The results section must present detailed
information about the findings from the
methods. Supporting information can be
provided by adding tables, graphics and figures.
Discussion
The discussion consists on the analysis of the
author´s results in the literature context.
Therefore, it is important to study the literature
and checks similar works on the field. It is
expected a comparison of different results and
their impact. By the end of the discussion it is
necessary to explain the limitations of the work.
Conclusions and recommendations
In the conclusion, it is expected to explain the
impact of the work, highlighting its contribution
and pointing out recommendations for further
works.
References
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers
(ASME) referencing style must used in the entire
document.
Appendix

This section includes raw data, an example of how the data was processed to obtain results, which must
include statistical information such as average with standard deviation, the precision and accuracy of the
measurements.
REPORT TEMPLATE:

The report must follow the next requirements:

•Body of the document: Times New Roman; size 11.

•Titles and subtitles: Times New Roman; size 12, in bold.

• Single line spacing.

•Single space between paragraphs.

•Margins: Top and bottom 2 cm, left and right 2.5 cm.

• Page number must be defined with Arabic numbers at the bottom of the page.
