Your NCS Timetable


• You will need to organise your transport to the meeting points - and from the return points.
• Please see your NCS Summer Guide for the items we recommend you bring.
• This information is correct at the time of printing but there could be unavoidable changes. If this
happens or some of the information is “To be confirmed”, we will update you as soon as possible.

Phase 1-
Adventure
Phase 1 is residential, you will be staying away from home - You will come to a local meeting point on the
first day and will be staying away from home for 5 days (4 nights).

When:
The first day is Thursday, 5 July 2018 - please meet us at 10:00 AM. Allow plenty of time to arrive or you may
miss the coach. You need to bring a packed lunch and a drink for the first day.

Where:
Askew Road Church
Bassein Park Rd, White City,, London, W12 9RN

Public transport information:


Underground: Stamford Brook (District Line) is a 10 minute walk or Goldhawk Road (Hammersmith and City
Line) is a 15-minute walk. From Stamford Brook Station Walk north on Goldhawk Rd towards Wilson Walk.
From Goldhawk Road Underground Station, walk west on Goldhawk Rd.
Bus: Routes 207,237 & 94 all stop within walking distance.

Travel information for drivers:


Take the first exit at the Goldhawk Road roundabout onto Askew Road, The entrance to the hall is the 5th
right on to Bassien Road.
Best location for parking is on Bassien or Rylett Road. Permit holders only during peak hours.

During Phase 1, you will be staying at PGL - Caythorpe Court - You will be taken there by coach, from the
meeting point listed above. Your accommodation will be dormitory rooms.

Return:
Phase 1 ends on Monday, 9 July, depending on traffic, you will be back at approximately
3:00 PM. You will return to the same location that you met at for the beginning of Phase 1.

Phase 2-
Discovery
Phase 2 is residential, you will be staying away from home - You will come to a local meeting point on the
first day and will be staying away from home for 5 days (4 nights).

When:
The first day is Thursday, 12 July - please meet us at 5:00 PM. Please arrive on time as groups may travel to
other locations or start activities promptly.

Where:
Campus Living Villages - Prince Consort Village
230 Goldhawk Rd,
White City, London, Greater London, W12 9PL

Public transport information:


Bus: Routes 94, 237 and 266 stop nearby.
Underground: Goldhawk Road Station (13 minutes), Ravenscourt Park Station (9 minutes), Stamford Brook
Station (12 minutes), and Shepherds Bush (17 minutes) are all located within walking distance of the venue.

Travel information for drivers:


Exit the M4 at Junction 1 onto Chiswick Roundabout. Follow signs to Chiswick High Street. Follow this road for
a while, before taking a left onto Goldhawk Road. Keep following this road and the venue will be on the
left. There is no car park at Prince Consort Village but parking is available in the surrounding area. If driving
please allow extra time for parking as there may not be any available spaces close to the venue.

During Phase 2, you will be staying at Campus Living Villages - Prince Consort Village - You will be taken
there, from the meeting point listed above. Your accommodation will be university-style student
accommodation.

Showcase and return:


The last day of Phase 2 ends with a showcase event which we warmly invite parents and guardians to. You
will go to the showcase venue straight from where you are staying and will be showing off the skills you have
developed on NCS so far. The event takes place on Monday, July 16, 2018 and starts at 3:00 PM. The event
will finish at approximately 5:30 PM. You will be able to leave 30 minutes after the showcase ends and can
be picked up from showcase venue (below).

(WLC) Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College - Hammersmith Campus, Gliddon Road, London,
W14 9BL.

Public transport information:


Underground: Barons Court for Piccadilly and District Lines is a 5 minute walk away from the venue, by
walking north on Gliddon Road.
Overground: Kensington Olympia is a 15 minute walk from the venue.
Bus: Routes 9, 10, 27, 33, 190, 209, 211, 220, 266, 267, 295, 391, 419 and H91 all stop nearby.

Travel information for drivers:


From M4: Exit junction 1 towards Chiswick, on Chiswick High Street. Follow the One-way System. Continue on
the A315 (Hammersmith Road). Turn right onto Edith Road and follow it onto Gliddon Road, the College is on
the right. Limited metered parking is available near the college.

Phase 3 -
Social Action
Phase 3 takes place over two sections – Design and Action. You will meet up in your local area in the
mornings and go home in the evenings. For the whole of Phase 3, you will be staying at home at night.

Action is on the next page.

Design
When:
19 July, 20 July, 21 July and 22 July, 2018.

Train: White City Station (Central) and Wood Lane Station (Circle or Hammersmith & City) are a 13 min walk
away. To reach the venue from either station walk north on Wood Lane/A219 and continue west via South
Africa Road. Bus: Routes 228 and 283 stop a 3 min walk away via India Way at bus stop LP, opposite Queens
Park Rangers Superstore. Routes 72, 95, 220 and 272 also stop at bust stop WE outside White Cite Station.

Travel information for drivers:


From the North Circular Road (Hanger Lane) head east via Western Avenue/A40 to Old Oak Road.
Continue onto Old Oak Road and then take Steventon Road and Bryony Road to Indid Way. The venue will
be on the left hand side. No parking on site. Check surround roads for pay and display parking.
