Dear Ms. Salezer,

I was talking with my brother, Nhia-Kou Xiong, about the IT job at Milwaukee
Public Schools Specialized Services Center over the summer and I’m very interested in
the position.I’m a technology Career Programme student at Ronald Reagan and haven’t
had any job experience in IT yet. This will be a good chance for me to get a feel for the
field. I love to work with technology and I am always willing to learn more about it and
help others learn more.
As a student, I can easily follow directions given and am always learning and
developing. As a part of the Technology Pathway in the Career Programme, I am
currently taking a web design class, so I have some experience in how code works. I
also work directly with many different types of students and have to communicate well
with them to get projects done. Occasionally, we will have to quickly and calmly assess
problems and find the best solutions to them. Within some of these groups, I was also a
leader, so I was also able to develop my leadership skills and be open-minded and
considerate of my group’s ideas. Using these skills, I will be able to assist your company
in their work, while also building my own skills and knowledge on the IT field.
