THE IMPACT OF DISPOSITORS

By Zoran Radosavljevic

Dispositor is a Graha that rules a certain portion of a zodiac. There are three
main types of dispositor’s:

1. Rasi dispositor
2. Nakshatra dispositor
3. Varga (Amsa) dispositor

RASHI DISPOSITORS
As you know there are 12 Rasi's within a zodiac, each comprising 30 degrees.
The passage of Surya through Kala Purusha is a reference point for a Rasi
division. Surya rules Atma or Self. It is responsible for physical evolution.
Thus, Rasi dispositor’s have a strong say over spiritual and physical aspect of
a Graha.

They will strongly influence a spiritual and physical make-up of a person. Look
at this chart:

Case 1
In this chart, Lagna is Dhanus and I shall
comment on Rasi dispositor’s of Lagna and
Lagna lord.

The dispositor of Lagna is guru

The dispositor of Lagnesh is Buddha

Thus, guru and Buddha are responsible for

spiritual and physical make-up of a person.
Guru, Dhi Shakti is together with Ketu in 10th house (Vishnusthan), thus Dhi
Shakti along with Ganapati blessings mould the spiritual path of a person.
Buddha is strongly involved in Dharmakarmadipati yoga, thus spirituality is the
major guiding force in this person’s life. As far as the physical aspect is
concerned, the person is physically strong, with broad shoulders, oval face,
tawny hair and eyes, golden complexion that is signified by guru. Buddha
gives boyish looks, cheerful expression, swift reactions etc. The state of
physiology is also signified with these two grahams. Guru is placed in
10.house along with Ketu, and the person suffered from knee troubles
(10.house) as well as indigestion (sign Virgo) while mercury is placed in
Capricorn (knees) and 2.house (mouth, teeth, upper throat)

NAKSHATRA DISPOSITORS
There are 27 lunar mensions/ nakshatras, each comprising 13.20 degrees.
Nakshatra are based on a lunar passage through the zodiac. Thus, they are
intimately related to Chandra or moon. Moon signifies mental affairs, and
Mother Devine, Prakriti who is responsible for all the creation. Thus, Chandra
signifies ever changing filed of phenomena. Therefore, Nakshatra indicate
mental affairs and what will actually manifest. Now, look at the previous chart.

Lagna Nakshatra is Poorvashadha lorded by Venus.

Lagnesh is in Hasta Nakshatra lorded by moon.
Thus, Venus/moon signifies mental affairs.

Venus is exalted, creating Mahapurush, involved in Tapaswi Yoga. The

person is attached to his motherland, home, and has introvert mind with a
capacity for Tapasya. Moon is in the eighth house, in own sign cancer, in the
first Drekkana of movable sign in kendra to mercury, thus creating Saraswati
Yoga. This indicates a mind attracted to occult, and learned in occult fields.
There is a mental weakness in a form of hypersensitivity, due to a moon’s
placement in eighth house (vulnerable place). The prominent placement of
Lagnesh in the strongest kendra is supposed to give a good rise in a career.
However, Nakshatra lord moon is placed in 8.house, which has directed that
rise in an occult/research field.

AMSA (VARGA) DISPOSITORS

These are the finest dispositor’s, starting from Navamsa dispositor up to
Shastyamsa and other finer divisional charts. Each dispositor has a special
role and is aimed at going into the more specific areas of life. For
convenience, I shall analyse Navamsa dispositor’s only. Navamsa is Dharma,
and along with Shastyamsa is the most important divisional chart. It indicates
inner tendencies and structures of the Rasi chart. Thus, Navamsa dispositor’s
are responsible for inherent strength of a Graha and their placement in Rasi
chart are of vital importance (please see Jataka Tatwa of Mahadeva) In this
chart we shall analyse Navamsa dispositor of Lagnesh.

Guru, Lagnesh in Rasi chart is placed in arise Navamsa, which is putramsa,

lorded by mars. Mars is placed in 11.house in Rasi chart in Visakha guru
Nakshatra. Mars rules 5.house of teaching/mantra, thus indicating that the
force inherited from previous life will arise in the form of teaching/mantra.
Mangal is a friend of guru and its placement in 11.house (success, gains) is
favorable for successful fulfillment of dharmic role of a guru. Dispositor of
Mangal in Rasi chart is exalted Venus in yuti with shani (Atmakaraka), which
is a specific yoga for Jyotisha. Thus, this liking for Jyotisha is inherited from
previous birth, which is indicated by Navamsa dispositor of guru, mars.
Further more, mars is the lord of 5.house (Siksha guru) and its dispositor is
Venus which is in yuti with Atmakaraka shani in Rasi chart, as 11th house lord
(specific combination for Jyotish) The person was accepted by his Jyotish
guru, in Jupiter Antara of mercury Mahadasa.

Both Mahadasa and antardasa are indicative of this. Mars apart from being
5.house lord is Navamsa dispositor of guru and is placed in Nakshatra of
guru.

Case 2
This is a woman of Leo Lagna. Let us
examine Lagna dispositor’s. Lagna is lorded
by Surya placed in 4th house. Surya is
Vargottama, thus strong, while its position in
fourth house is not favorable without any
Digbala. Surya is best placed in 10th house of
activities where its Digbala is full. Planet of
status and career needs activity (10th house)
to manifest fully. Rasi dispositor’s of Surya
are Mangal and Ketu, both placed in 6/12
houses respectively. These positions are bad for health and physical
evolution. The woman is very skinny (Mangal) while she has both troubles
with legs (Ketu is with shani) as well as muscles (both Mangal and shani). She
had a car accident in Surya Mahadasa where she had a kidney troubles (sign
Scorpio) and hurt her legs (not permanently) dispositor’s Mangal in 12th house
and Ketu in sixth with shani. Thus, we can see that both Rasi dispositors’ are
badly placed giving troubles to the physical body (health, accidents etc) Lagna
is in purvaphalguni Nakshatra ruled by Venus, while Lagnesh is in Nakshatra
ruled by shani. Venus is in third house strong and exalted in Navamsa. Being
in third house she enjoys in third house affairs such as energy, strength,
physical desires, working abilities, movements...Lagnesh is in shani
Nakshatra, while shani is afflicted in sixth house. Thus, her mentality shows
vata disorders such as: nervousness, mental confusion, fear, doubts, loss of
mental focus and energy. She is both hard working person and lazy from time
to time (Ketu yuti) Ketu signifies inertia and laziness as well. Both Nakshatra
dispositors’ are placed in 12/3 rd houses respectively. Shani placement in
third from AL is good for material success, while Sukra placement in
12th house from AL is bad. Navamsa dispositor’s: Surya as Lagnesh is placed
in Vargottama Navamsa in 2nd house. His dispositor’s are mars and Ketu.
They are both placed in Dusthana’s in Rasi chart. Thus, we can clearly see
the loss of dharma: She is divorced, while she is having troubles with her only
son. She has been advised to fast on Friday (Venus rules Upapada and is
placed in 12th from AL) however, due to eclipsed mentality in mars Mahadasa
(mars is Atmakaraka in 12th house, in the deepest debilitation degree) she is
still unable to do any remedial measures.

CONCLUSION
In Jyotisha Dispositor’s are very important in revealing the different tendencies
of Graha’s and their specific behavior in different fields. As Rasi dispositor’s
are more responsible for spiritual/physical evolution, Nakshatra dispositor’s
rule the mental and ever-changing phenomena. Various Amsa dispositors’
carry more specific influence in different layers of existence, either physical or
mental depending on the domain of divisional charts. (5 cycles of 12 divisional
charts up to Shastyamsa). Dharmamsa is again the most important chart,
ruling the inherited tendencies from a previous birth, which is confirmed by
Sloka’s of ancient sages Parasara and Jaimini.
