Module Overview
1. Module Overview
M Display
D Manager
Version 1.1.0.61
The Display Manager is divided in several modules. A module is like a plug-in/ add-on that can work
independently of other modules.
Page 6 DisplayManager_1.0036_rev00
Launcher
2. Launcher
The launcher is the first window that is shown when you start the Display Manager. You can login to a server
and select a framework setting.
2.1. Login
To login to a server you must enter your user name and password. To store your login data for future
logins, you can check the checkboxes next to the User Name and Password.
By clicking Connect, a connection to the server is established. If the login information is incorrect or
connection to the server failed, an error message will be displayed.
Select a framework setting
If the login was successful, you must choose a framework setting. The framework determines which
functions in the display managers are available and how they are configured. These frameworks are
assigned to each user; therefore the number of available frameworks varies.
By clicking the Login, the Display Manager starts with the selected framework setting.
2.2. Option
The option window is shown by clicking Option in the Launcher.
Fig.: Lauchner option
Name Description
Host IP address of the server with the
pattern xxx.xxx.xxx.
Host Start Number of the last digit of the IP
address. Multiple digits separated
by commas can be entered. When
multiple digits are entered it will try
to connect to those servers.
When for instance the Host
„192.0.1.“ and Host Start „11.13“
is the first attempt is to connect to
the server 192.0.1.11, if that fails
to 192.0.1.13.
Port Port of the server.

Main Window
3. Main Window
The Main Window is the framework window of all modules. The modules extend this framework window with
new functions. Which modules are active and how they are configured depends on the framework setting.
3.1.3. View
The names of all Floating Windows are listed here. If a
name is checked, the Floating Window is visible. If a
name is unchecked, indicated by an icon, the Floating
Window is hidden. By pressing on a name, the visible
status of a Floating Window is toggled.
Load Default Layout loads the default arrangement of the
Floating Windows.
Save as Default Layout saves the current arrangement
of Floating Windows as default layout. Only visible for
admins.
3.1.4. Settings
Only visible for admins, shows the Framework Setting dialog.
3.1.5. Help
About Display Manager: Shows the splash screen with the version number.

3.2. Ribbon
The Ribbon encapsulates shortcuts to often used actions of modules. The displayed shortcuts depend
on the framework setting.

1 Status Text Information text.
4. Navigation Bar
The navigation bar is used to manage the entries of data.
It is used in many modules and has a similar structure, thus working with a new module is very easy.

Device Module
5. Device Module
The Device Module is the interface for managing devices that are connected to the server. The status of the
devices is represented by graphical icons. Additionally, devices can be grouped together.
1 2 3 4
Name Description
1 Name Name of the device or group.
Out of Service The device is in service mode. It isn’t connected to the server and
no tries are done to establish a connection.
Unknown The device is in the transition to a new status.

Scheduler Module
7. Scheduler Module
The Scheduler Module managed the events of devices and groups.
7.1.1. Mode
When an event is created for the first time, a mode has to be set.
That mode determines the behavior of the event.
Depending on the event mode, content can be associated to an event, too.
This event displays content on a device or a group of devices. The content associated
to this event can be set in Content. The control Content Mode is every time displayed in
Content. Depending on the selected value of the Content Mode further controls will be
visible.
7.1.1.1.1. Content Mode: Picture Carousel
DisplayManager_1.0036_rev00 Page 17
Scheduler Module
Text is displayed on the device. Either you can enter 5 texts, that are displayed blow
each other or if the text fields are empty, the note is displayed. Because a note has
multiple texts, these are displayed by a text carousel. By checking Scrolling 1, the texts
of notes are scrolling.

Scheduler Module
This event links content to the active displayed page of a device. The associated content to
this event is independent of the displayed page. That means content of this event can be
reused for multiple pages.
Because the content of this event is independent of the displayed page, all available
content can be set. The number of controls varies depending on the server settings. For a
description of the content controls see documentation of Content Mode: Gtp/Gtc file
This event determines when a device shall be set to on and off. During the time of the event
is the device on otherwise it‘s off.
This event displays content when no valid flight data and events of the Mode Freeform are
available.
For a description of the available controls in Content, see description of the Mode
Freeform.
This event is used to set a page, which is displayed by the device, when the connection to
the server is lost.
File: Select the page that should be used as the offline page. A page or carousel can be
uploaded with the Local Files Module. All available pages and carousels are listed
by the Server Files Module.
Fig.: Content
DisplayManager_1.0036_rev00 Page 21
Scheduler Module
7.1.2. Priority
Priority of the event, required to schedule several events. The priority starts at 0, followed
by 1.2, etc. The lower the number, the higher the priority, thus has 0 a higher priority than
1. This priority is important when there are multiple events scheduled at the same time, to
determine which event shall be used. Multiple events cannot have the same priority.
Priorities are managed separately for each Mode, so there are priority 1 for the mode
Freeform and Content, because they have different tasks.
7.1.3. Device/Group
Name of the groups and device, to which the event is associated. If the group name is
empty, the event is associated to a group.
Fig.: Device/Group
7.1.4. Displayed
Is the event displayed and how long?
Yes: Event is every time enabled.
No: Event is disabled.
Time Based: Event is only active during the select Date, Time and Week Frequency.
7.1.6. Content
The displayed controls in this group depend on the selected mode.
