Version 1.1.0.61

The Display Manager is divided in several modules. A module is like a plug-in/ add-on that can work
independently of other modules.

1.1. Module Categories

The modules in turn are divided in three categories.
Monitoring of devices
ƒƒ Device Module
ƒƒ Screen Dump Module
Scheduling of content
ƒƒ Scheduler Module
Administration of content
ƒƒ Server Files Module
ƒƒ Local Files Module
ƒƒ Server Notes Module
ƒƒ Image Carousel Module
ƒƒ Effect Module

1.2. Framework Settings

A configuration of the modules represents a framework setting.
When you have logged in to the server, you can select a framework setting. Framework Settings are
managed by admins.

Page 6 DisplayManager_1.0036_rev00
Launcher

2. Launcher
The launcher is the first window that is shown when you start the Display Manager. You can login to a server
and select a framework setting.

Fig.: Display Manager Launcher

2.1. Login
To login to a server you must enter your user name and password. To store your login data for future
logins, you can check the checkboxes next to the User Name and Password.
By clicking Connect, a connection to the server is established. If the login information is incorrect or
connection to the server failed, an error message will be displayed.
Select a framework setting
If the login was successful, you must choose a framework setting. The framework determines which
functions in the display managers are available and how they are configured. These frameworks are
assigned to each user; therefore the number of available frameworks varies.
By clicking the Login, the Display Manager starts with the selected framework setting.

2.2. Option
The option window is shown by clicking Option in the Launcher.
Fig.: Lauchner option

Name Description
Host IP address of the server with the
pattern xxx.xxx.xxx.
Host Start Number of the last digit of the IP
address. Multiple digits separated
by commas can be entered. When
multiple digits are entered it will try
to connect to those servers.
When for instance the Host
„192.0.1.“ and Host Start „11.13“
is the first attempt is to connect to
the server 192.0.1.11, if that fails
to 192.0.1.13.
Port Port of the server.

Changes can be applied by pressing OK or discarded by Cancel.

Scheduler Module

7.1.1.2. Mode: Content

This event links content to the active displayed page of a device. The associated content to
this event is independent of the displayed page. That means content of this event can be
reused for multiple pages.
Because the content of this event is independent of the displayed page, all available
content can be set. The number of controls varies depending on the server settings. For a
description of the content controls see documentation of Content Mode: Gtp/Gtc file

Fig.: Mode: content

7.1.1.3. Mode: Device On/Off

This event determines when a device shall be set to on and off. During the time of the event
is the device on otherwise it‘s off.

7.1.1.4. Mode: Empty Display

This event displays content when no valid flight data and events of the Mode Freeform are
available.
For a description of the available controls in Content, see description of the Mode
Freeform.

7.1.1.5. Mode: Offline

This event is used to set a page, which is displayed by the device, when the connection to
the server is lost.
File: Select the page that should be used as the offline page. A page or carousel can be
uploaded with the Local Files Module. All available pages and carousels are listed
by the Server Files Module.

Fig.: Content

7.1.2. Priority
Priority of the event, required to schedule several events. The priority starts at 0, followed
by 1.2, etc. The lower the number, the higher the priority, thus has 0 a higher priority than
1. This priority is important when there are multiple events scheduled at the same time, to
determine which event shall be used. Multiple events cannot have the same priority.
Priorities are managed separately for each Mode, so there are priority 1 for the mode
Freeform and Content, because they have different tasks.
7.1.3. Device/Group
Name of the groups and device, to which the event is associated. If the group name is
empty, the event is associated to a group.

Fig.: Device/Group

7.1.4. Displayed
Is the event displayed and how long?
Yes: Event is every time enabled.
No: Event is disabled.
Time Based: Event is only active during the select Date, Time and Week Frequency.

7.1.5. Date/Time/Week Frequency

These controls are only enabled, if Time Based of Displayed is selected.
Date From: Start date of the event, empty means event is active.
Date To: End date of the event, empty means event is active.
Time From: Start time of the event, empty means event is active.
Time To: End time of the event, empty means event is active.
Week Frequency: Event is active on all checked days.

Server Notes Module

10. Server Notes Module

The Server Notes Module managed notes that are stored on the server.
These notes can be used by other modules like the Scheduler Module.
A note is identified by its unique key and consists of multiple texts.
The advantage of notes instead of using text directly is that when you change the texts, these changes are
reflected to all dependencies. If you got for instance ten devices that display a note you must only change the
text of the note and all devices are updated. Without notes you would have to update the text on ten devices
separately.
Name Description
Key Unique key of the selected note.
Notes 1 ... x Text of the ... note.
Navigation Bar Navigation through the notes. For a detailed description see documentation of
Navigation Bar.

11. Image Carousel Module

The Image Carousel Module managed carousel of images, which can be used by other modules.

Name Description
Key Unique key of the selected image carousel.
Carousel Represents an entry in the image carousel.
