I. Composition of Slow Sand Filtration Tank

1. 15 cu.m. Washed Sand (0.45mmØ)

2. 7 cu.m. Washed Gravel (0.10mmØ)
3. 10 cu.m. Granular Materials
4. Geo-Textile Filter Cloth

II. Flow Operation Process

1. For supply:
- close bypass gate valve and two flushing butterfly valve
- open the two inlet butterfly valve and two outlet butterfly valve leading
to two filters
- pump the water from source to slow sand filtration tank and to water tank
(See attach plan)

2. For backwashing:
- close the two inlet butterfly valve
- open the two outlet butterfly valve and two flushing butterfly valve
- drain water from water tank to slow sand filtration tank to overflow
