1 Features And Usages
To reduce labor cost and human negligence, Scan-10 Automated sampling instrument
is used to sample the test cards by micro-computer procedure.

4 Instrument Operation and Instruction

1. Turn on the instrument power switch which is on the right side. After several
seconds, the test card selection menu will be displayed on the screen.

2. Use the direction buttons to choose the test card which you need. The test card
you chose will show in the middle of the screen.

3. Prepare the proper concentration of the bacterial suspension, and put it in the
bacterial suspension well.

4. Open the other reagents, and put into the relevant holes according to the below
list.

5. Hold 1ml tip by thumb and forefinger; smoothly entangle the tip upward with a
half turn.

6. Put the test card (ID area on the top side, AST are on the down side) in the tray
groove, and tear the mask to the left.

7. Press “Calibrate” button, tip will move to A12 well automatically.

8. Adjust the tip if necessary. Tip must align the center of test card A12 well。

9. Press “run” button and start sampling.

10. After 3.5 minutes, sampling will be finished. System will go back to initial state.
Repeat step 2 to 9 can continue sampling.

Remark: When the system is running, short press of the reset button can stop the
instrument; extended press of the reset button can restart the system.

5 Routine Maintenance
1. This instrument should be maintained at regular intervals and keep it clean. Use
the clean soft cloth with a little anhydrous alcohol to clean it.

2. For preventing diluent rust the electronic device and effect normal operation. If
diluent is poured on the instrument surface. Please wipe it up with dry cloth at
once.

3. When stop using the instrument, please cut off the power in time. And clean the
surface.

4. If you haven’t use the instrument for a long time or just open it. The instrument
should dry run for a time and then you can use it normally.

5. When restart the instrument during running, the tip must be unloaded at first.

6. Please don’t drag the spearhead, when the instrument is power off.

 6 Common Problem Treatments

Cause Analysis Solution
The running status is not Dry running for once before
stable after starting. starting work and then it can be
used.
Step 8: Positioning Must check and adjust the straw

Caused by the size 1,Check the size of tip(neither
problem or rag of tip. too big or too small is allowed).

7 After-sales service
1. Warranty
1) If any failures, caused by material or manufacturing, happen within 1 month since
the delivery date, DL is responsible to replace it with a new instrument and take
care of all the delivery expense.
2) If any failures, caused by material of manufacturing, happen within 12 months
since the delivery date, DL provides with free repair. Customers bear the cost of
freight back to repair department, while DL bear the freight charge of delivery
back to customer.
3) When the warranty is expired, DL only charges for favorable price of spare parts.
2. Warranty range
This warranty did not cover unexpected use, the use in the environment which
does not meet the requirements, and the damage from unauthorized repair or refit.

8 Unpacking And Inspection

1, User first to open the packing, please accord the sign upward to take off the
instrument. Avoid to damage the instrument, please don’t knock and pry.

2, Check the instrument and attachments accord the packing list. If there is any
omissions, please contact the supplier or our company.

9 Delivery And Storage

1, The instrument is fixed tight in the carton, anti-rain, anti-moisture and anti-shock.
During the delivery, it is not allowed to shake fiercely and collide, which may
seriously damage the product.

2, If the instrument is not use for a long period of time, it should be packed, anti-rain,
anti-moisture and anti-shock. And it should be stored at the temperature 5℃－40℃,
in the ventilated indoor with relative humidity ≤80% and no corrosive gases.
