Notes from the teacher

It was great to see so many of you at Trick-or-Read last Thursday! It was a great opportunity for kids to
come and hear some scary stories read by their current and former teachers.

This week, we will be introducing our persuasive writing unit. Students will learn about the genre as well as
complete a persuasive writing sample in order to track their growth during the unit. However, please
encourage your learner to continue working on his/her narrative writing going forward. They have grown so
much as authors and we want to keep that momentum going!

This Friday is the day for Make-up Pictures. If your child was absent on Picture Day or you need retakes for
any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.

The optional math homework that was given out last week continues this week since it is a short week.

Have a great week!

Every learner. Every day. Everyone.
