Sub: Consultancy Fee for Design Checking/Vetting of Structural Design

Dear Sir,
The following consultancy fee may be quoted for design Checking/Vetting of structural design of buildings (for all
occupancy types). Actually, the consultancy fee mainly depends on the type of structures, degree of complexity
involved in the analysis and design and number of basements (in case of buildings). It is really difficult to provide a
unified quotation which will cover a wide range of structure types. However, depending on the type of buildings and
number of basements, the following quotation may be provided for structural design/vetting:

For Commercial project:

(A) Less than 20 Khata Plot

 Building with four to five basements ------------------------------------------------ Tk. 5.50-6.50/sq.ft
 Building with three or less basements ---------------------------------------------- Tk. 5.00- 6.00/sq.ft
 Building with more than five basements -------------------------------------------- Tk. 6.00-7.00/sq.ft
 20 Khata or Larger Plot
 Building with three to five basements --------------------------------------------------Tk. 5.00- 6.00/sq.ft
 Building with three or less basements ---------------------------------------------- Tk. 4.50- 5.50/sq.ft
 Building with more than five basements --------------------------- ------------------ Tk. 5.50-6.50/sq.ft

For Residential project:

(B) Less than 20 Khata Plot

 Building with four to five basements ------------------------------------------------ Tk. 4.50-5.50/sq.ft
 Building with three or less basements ---------------------------------------------- Tk. 4.00- 5.00/sq.ft
 Building with more than five basements -------------------------------------------- Tk. 5.00-6.00/sq.ft
 20 Khata or Larger Plot
 Building with three to five basements ----------------------------------------------- Tk. 4.00- 5.00/sq.ft
  Building with three or less basements ----------------------------------------------Tk. 3.50- 4.50/sq.ft
 Building with more than five basements --------------------------- ------------------ Tk. 4.50-5.50/sq.ft

However, in case of simple structural system with repeating structural forms at different floor levels, the figure
mentioned above may be adjusted to some extent.
