and pipeline infrastructure. The company earns $536M in annual revenues and has 1900 employees.Bought

FINANCIAL AND ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS ANALYST ( 01/2009 – 2011) CAL DIVE INTERNATIONAL, INC
Senior functional analyst for all non-HRMS Oracle modules. Provide one-on-one global end user support on
functional and process issues. Formulated and defined systems scope and objectives through research and fact-
finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Developed and
modified moderately complex information systems which included analysis of business and user needs,
documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
Wrote all the non-HRMS reports using SQL that were not available in Oracle reports. This required research
into which tables were needed, how the tables were related, and identifying the fields that the user needed.
Converted most of the native Oracle reports into an Excel format by using BI Tools.
Used SQL query writing language to research issues and develop solutions such as: purchasing’s ordered but
not delivered report, all reports used by receivables, billed and unbilled revenues by project, and the monthly
report used by banks to validate and download credit card charges.
Successfully streamlined vendor selection by inactivating unused vendors and closing one quarter of the
projects previously set up at implementation yet never used.

ORACLE IMPLEMENTOR (1/2008 – 12/2008) CAL DIVE INTERNATIONAL, INC

Functional analyst for Oracle 11.5.10.2 systems implementation; projects, general ledger, payables, receivables,
purchasing, iprocurement, and fixed assets. Loaded general ledger history from legacy systems. Set up Oracle
purchasing approval hierarchy, auto accounting lookup sets, assigned rules, burden pool and rates and added
operationg units. Sole tester for entering payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
Created the tables, which converted from two legacy account strings to the new one. The tables were user-
friendly so users could translate from the old string themselves.
Set-up category classifications for the fixed assets module and for the tax books. The tax books involved
various depreciation methods going back to 1990.
Streamlined rules on how to assign the general ledger account string based upon what process created the
entry.

participants and deductions, year-end discrimination testing, and 1099 forms. Wrote reports for offshore crew:

Participated in panels to review current procedures and design strategies to improve performance and accuracy.
Accounting lead assigned to Human Resources.
Claims and premiums from medical carriers were sent as PDF’s, which at that time was not an easy format to
gather usable data from. Used advanced Excel functions to break out the data into a usable form.
During the review process, determined the company was paying claims and premiums on approximately 50
people who were not currently working or had left the company and didn’t elect Cobra. Setup an Excel
spreadsheet to track payments from Cobra participants and their projected end date.

DATABASE PROGRAMMER (05/2002 – 12/2004) HORIZON OFFSHORE INC

I was available to create various databases to meet ever-changing demands.
Created an MS Access program to show the outstanding company shares at any point in time. Human
Resources used the system to retrieve which shares could be exercised and the stock option price. The
program information was used in all 10-Q and 10-K reporting.
Wrote a FoxPro database program to depreciate vessels only when in use. It also had a test for minimal
depreciation requirements. The system resulted in substantial business savings, as 2-3 vessels were always
idle.

Sole person directing research, requirements definition, configuration and execution of initiatives. Wrote complex
calc scripts, running and validating data loads, updating metadata, assigning UDA's, setting up alternate
hierarchies, and writing reports using the Excel add-in. Created technical rule files for both dimension building and
loading data. Initiated database tuning and optimization, configuration settings and dense/sparse outline
configuration .
Executed Essbase and designed cubes for the following: annual budgets, weekly operational forecasting by
