State Philosophy is a Believe System and Values of The Citizen as Their Right &

Responsibilities

(Quinn/ 05/ StateFriday/ 14.30)

The concept of the person is more primitive than the Cartesian concepts of mind and body.
As a substance, the person has both material and psychical predicates What is important is to view
the person as a unity, that is, as one substance, not two substances. Both the practical and
theoretical, constructive and reflexive thinking about humans and our societies seems to oscillate
between two extremes. Whereas for Aristotle, it is notoriously the polis, the natural whole, which
is the primary fact about every human being, born and educated in it and designated to attain its
perfection in a perfect city, it is for most of the moderns the autonomous individual, the self-
evident mature ego who seeks protection against his enemies in a contractual society.

Humans as individual beings have physical and spiritual elements, physical and
psychological elements, physical and mental elements. An individual is a combination of genotype
and phenotype factors. Genotype factor is a factor brought by an individual from birth, he is a
hereditary factor brought by individuals from birth. Personality is the overall behavior of
individuals which is the result of interactions between bio-psychophysical (physical and
psychological) potentials that have been carried out from birth with a series of environmental
situations, which are revealed in actions and actions as well as psychological mental reactions, that
stimulated by environment. Humans can be said to be social beings for several reasons, namely:
first, humans are subject to social norms, rules. Second, human behavior expects judgment from
other people. Further, Humans have a need to interact with other people. Thus, Human potential
will develop if he lives in midst of humans, behavior by expecting an assessment from other people
and interacting with other people.

As an individual person, human being has a right and obligation as a citizenship of a nation.
They have rights that they could claimed, and in the other hand they also have an obligation that
they need to obey. As a good civilian, they must follow and support government policy and they
will get reward as their right. For example, as a civilian, Quinn needs to follow the rules of the
traffic as government have set. Thus, as a Buddhist, Quinn could pray in any places in Indonesia
as government state in Article 29 of the 1945 Constitution concerning Freedom of Religion. Not
only limited by the religion, as a tourist or civilian they also have a same right that they need even
though every nation has their own regulation. Unfortunately, rights and obligations are not always
“work together”. Means that even though the law in Indonesia state that every citizen has the right
and obligation to get a better life and get equal treatment in front of the law regardless of their
social statue, in fact citizen who has a lot of money will always win and the judge become lawless.
Furthermore, the fact that there are still many government officials in all regional provinces in
Indonesia who prioritize their rights over obligations. even though rights and obligations can work
together, the people's welfare will soon be achieved and can be felt by all levels of society in
villages, cities or evenly spread out.
