Multi User Environment

„ Considering the Multi User Environment supported, each user is


responsible to commit and activate his own changes made during
a session
„ Changed data are not accessible to other users while they are
uncommitted. This Interaction Safeguarding is not executed on
the diagram level but on the level of AF-Blocks, Connectors,
Graphic Objects etc.
„ Only Administrators are allowed to commit or rollback other
users´ changes

Summary

„ Each User is Responsible to commit and activate the changes he


made. All interactions are safeguarded
„ Online Changes (e.g. changing already activated data) are normal
modifications and only need to be committed and activated as
usual
„ There is No Code Generation. All modifications are directly
carried out in the Project Container and in the Runtime
Containers after they have been committed.
„ There is No Download. All modifications are directly included in
the Runtime Containers execution cycle after they have been
activated
„ To Undo Changes and Activations various rollback functions are
available

„ The compiling of reports is based on process variables which are


stored in the Archive
„ Reports are used to compile a set of information under a certain
aspect. Some of those aspects could be:
„ Measured values during a given Period of Time
„ To start investigations after an Event in the process
„ Collecting Balance Data of performance or wear
„ Operation Sequences
„ Snapshot of a certain set of process values

Starting the dialog to create Reports

„ The dialog to create Reports is started by using the Reports


option from the Workbench - Applications menu
„ The Reports Dialog then appears in a new window

„ Open the calendar to adjust the date. A calendar sheet appears


with the present date selected.
„ Select the desired date. Change month/year using the up/down
buttons
„ Open the time indication which appears with the present time
„ Click on the up/down buttons to select the desired time

Selection criteria: Tags

Note: When there is no specification or a specification


which cannot be interpreted from the report generator,
the user will be informed with an error message

„ Add then Browse for Tags to be


included in the report
„ A fully specified Tag consists of 3
parts Tag Name, Signal Item and
Signal Name
„ Tags can also be entered manually.
Then „Wildcards“ can be used: Tag Browser
„ An asterisk ( * ) replaces an unspecified number of characters
„ A question mark ( ? ) replaces one character
„ Merging of different Tags in one Report can be achieved by
entering more than one specification

Selection criteria: Quality

„ Quality Codes, in accordance with the OPC Data Access


Custom Interface Specification, are stored with the event
records in the archive. A filter can be set to a selection of
these Quality Codes OPC Quality Codes

„ Select the desired Quality Code with the left mouse button.
If necessary scroll down in the list using the slider. Then
press the Add button

„ To select more than one Quality Code repeat the selection or


press Add all
„ To remove Quality Codes from the selection proceed vice versa
or press Remove all

„ Binary Values are stored with the event records in the archive.
A filter can be set to a selection of these binary states

by operation users, in the Operation Mode.
No engineering functions are required
„ Objects can be dragged and dropped from existing Plant Displays
into USP-Displays, and freely arranged
„ This allows Individual Users to easily create their own Plant
Displays, e.g. for any unusual operating condition

Deleting Objects from USP-Displays

„ Select the objects to be deleted


„ Delete the selected objects using the Context Menu

USP-Display in the Project View

„ Regarding the Project View, the USP-Displays are saved in a


special Project Node linked directly to the Project Root. This

„ If appropriate, USP-Displays can be deleted
