Major Activities

The following are the major activities of the project:

First year of Implementation:

Component 1: Selection of corn farmers in Bukidnon

This project is primarily for the farmers of Bukidnon. To increase their productivity, this machine
will help them in the task of removing the kernels from the cob of the corn much faster than using nails
or their hands. This process is also a very tiring job because of how much corn they have to process, so
using this machine will lessen the energy they usually use for that task.

Component 2: Corn amount and size audit in selected corn farms.

All corn produce during harvest season of August to October shall be auditted to determine the
average amount of harvested corn. In determining the size of the corn, a sample of 50 (fifty) corns shall
be measured and the average dimensions shall be the specifications of corn to be used for the machine.

Component 3:Design Calculation, Simulation, Testing, and Prototyping.

The design of the machine shall be made in AutoCAD and Solidworks. Calculations for the RPM
will be done on paper and in a program. A specified dimension of corn shall be used in the testing of the
machine. ------------wla ko kabalo sa prototype

Component 4:Fabrication, Construction and Assembly of Kernel Remover Machine.

Component 5:

Component 6: Economic Development Analysis

This activity will determine how much working hours are saved from using the Kernel Remover
in comparison to the old method. Benefit-Cost Ratio, Rate of Return, Production Cost and

Component 7: Publication, Patenting of the design Kernel Remover

Development of the commercialized design and production process. Submission of design for
patenting.

Component 8: Preparation of complete report and result analysis.

Submission of the final report and output analysis.
