DIALOG/ CONCEPT/ PROPERTIES

1. Indonesia
Performer : Dhana, Aleka and Kevin
Costume : Batik
Properties : Batik cloths/ Pictures of Batik, Pictures of Bandung, Pictures of Indonesia
Duration : 5 minutes
Intro
(One child will introduce him/herself)
Child 1:
“Hello everyone, I am ...... ”
“Do you know where this is that we live?”
“We live in a place called Bandung.”
“Bandung is one of the cities in Indonesia. It is located in West Java, one of the biggest
islands in Indonesia.” (show picture of Bandung)

Content
(One child will tell more about Indonesia)
Child 2:
"Indonesia is our country. People who are from Indonesia are called Indonesian."
(show picture of Indonesia)
"So, I am Indonesian."

Child 1, 2 and 3: "We are Indonesian."

Child 2:
"In Indonesia, we can find so many interesting and unique things."

Child 1:
"Beautiful places, tasty foods, arts and culture of Indonesia."

Child 2:
"And do you know, there is one famous art form on cloth from Indonesia that is very well
known by many people in the world?"

Child 1:
“What is it?”

Child 2:
"It is batik."

Child 3:
"I know, i know. The teachers like to wear it on Wednesday. There are so many kind of Batik
with different patterns, designs and colors.

Child 2:
“Look at these!"
(show the Batik cloths/ pictures of Batik, and say the name of Batik and where it comes
from)
(first picture) “This is batik Mega Mendung from Cirebon,
(second picture) this is batik Keraton from Yogyakarta,
(third picture) and this one is batik Tujuh rupa from Pekalongan.”

Child 1:
“But how do you make it?"

Child 3:
Batik is made of cloth and hot wax. It's like when you are drawing on paper but the artist
uses hot wax and start draws on the cloth."
(show the pictures of people making Batik)

Child 1:
"Wow that is so cool."
"Later I want to try to make batik."

Child 2:
"Me too."

Closing
Child 3:
"Come on friends, I know where we can learn to make batik and later we can wear it to go to
school, Let's go!"

Child 1 & 2: Okay!

(children step off the stage)

2. Colors
Performer : Rex, Alyss and Kenrich
Costume : Colorful clothes
Properties : Asturo paper (Rainbow colors)
Duration : 5 minutes

Intro
BGM: 'I can sing a rainbow' or another song about rainbows. (Three children come in,
bringing colorful paper (asturo paper)
Content
Child 1:
"I love red. Red is like a rose. It’s beautiful. " (hold red paper)
Child 2:
"I love orange." (hold orange paper)
Child 3:
"I love green and blue." (hold green and blue paper)
Child 1:
"Hey look! This is so colorful like a rainbow."
"I love rainbow."
Child 2:
"Yeah me too."
Child 3:
"Do you know how many colors are in a rainbow?"
Child 2:
"Five?"
Child 1:
"A lot of colors? One thousand?"
Child 3:
"No.. There are seven colors in every rainbow. It's red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo,
and violet." (Stick the asturo paper on the board/something, based on the order of rainbow
colors)
Child 1 & 2:
(mention the colors in order)
Child 3:
"Have you wondered where rainbows come from?"
Child 1:
"They come from the rain?"
Child 2:
“They come from the sun?”
Child 3:
"They are made by white light. White light is made of seven colors. Look I have this
(Showing a prism)
Child 1:
“What is that?”
Child 2;
“It’s a prism.”
Child 3:
“Yes it is.”
Child 1:
“So, can a prism make white light?”
Child 3:
“No, The sun shines the light through the prisms and the prism divides the white light into
seven colors. Look at this. (Take eyedroppers and drops some water.)
These are like raindrops, they act like a prisms and break down light. On a cloudy day,
raindrops act like prisms and break down sunlight so we see a rainbow.
Closing
Child 1:
“Now I want to make a rainbow.”
Child 2:
“How?”
Child 1:
“With this, we can make it beautiful.” (while holdings the colorful paper)
Child 3:
“Oh yeah! Come on! Let’s do it!”
All children : Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
(children step off the stage)

3. Ocean
Performer : Sebastian, Charlton and Jayden
Costume : Blue clothes
Properties : Pictures of sea creatures, Blue cloth
Duration : 5 minutes

Intro
BGM: Sounds of the sea/ ocean/ water.
Child 1:
“About 72% of the surface of the planet is covered by salt water, we called it Ocean.
Do you know what is the largest ocean on earth?”
Child 2: “I know, The largest ocean on Earth is the Pacific Ocean.”
Child 3: “And the second largest is the Atlantic Ocean.”
Child 1:
“Yes, and you know, there are millions of sea animals living in the ocean.
Content
Child 3: (With picture of shark)
“Sharks can hear a fish swimming over one mile away,
and can smell one drop of blood in a million drops of water. The biggest shark in the ocean
was the Megalodon and now it is the whale shark.”
Child 1: (With picture of whale)
“Whales are the mammals. The blue whale is the largest animal ever to have lived on Earth.”
Child 2: (With picture of Octopus)
“There are over 200 species of octopuses living in oceans around the world,
And usually near coral reefs.”
Child 4 (If nessecary): (With the picture of Dolphin)
“People believed that I’m a very intelligent animals. Female dolphins are called cows, males
are called bulls and young dolphins are called calves.”
*Trash coming*
Closing
Child 3;
“Oh No! There’s a lot of trash in the ocean.”
Child 1:
“Do you know that oceans generate half of the oxygen we breathe?”

Child 2:
“That is why we have to save the Ocean.”
Child 3:
“How do we save the ocean?”
Child 4:
“We can help to take care of the beach and keep the ocean clean by not throwing away
trash at the beach or in the sea.”
Child 2:
“And by using fewer plastic products.”

4. Floral
Performer : Mika, Alessandro and Aaryan
Costume : Colorful clothes/ floral clothes
Properties : Picture of life cycle of flower (seeds, young plants, mature plants)
Duration : 5 minutes

Intro
Child 1: “What is your favorite flower?”
Child 2: “My favorite is a rose. How about you?”
Child 1: “I like sunflowers.”
Child 3: “But do you know how flowers grow?”
Child 1 & 2: “Yes I think so.”
Content
Child 3:
“Without seeds, no flowers would grow!
First we plant the seeds in the soil.
Seeds are like baby plants that need warm soil, enough water, and enough light to grow and
then they begin to germinate. (Show picture of seeds planted in the soil)
Child 2:
“Later the roots will absorb the nutrients and water to help the plants grow. They will grow
into small plants called seedlings.” (Show picture of plant germinate into a seedling)
Child 1:
“As long as the seedlings continue to get the right amount of sunshine, water and food from
the soil, they will continue to grow larger and stronger. Once the plants are fully grown, they
are called adult plants.”
Child 3:
“When they grow they will bloom flowers and reveal their beautiful colors.” (Show picture of
plant grows into adult plants and when it blooms)
Closing
Child 3: “That is so cool right?”
Child 2: “Yeah, I want to plant a rose too.”
Child 1: “But we need seeds first.”
Child 3: “We can buy it in the Flower Shop.”
Child 1: “Oh yeah, come on!
