Jakarta is the capital and most populous city of the Republic of Indonesia.. Established in the fourth
century, Jakarta is the country's economic, cultural and political center. It is the home for more than 15
millions inhabitants.
Jakarta is located on the northwest coast of the world's most populous island of Java, at the mouth
of the Ciliwung River on Jakarta Bay, which is an inlet of the Java Sea. Jakarta lies in a low, flat basin,
ranged from 2 to 50 meters with average elevation 8 meters above sea level; 40% of Jakarta, particularly
the northern areas, is below sea level, while the southern parts are comparatively hilly.
Jakarta is administratively equal to a province with special status as the capital of Indonesia. It
consists of five municipalities and an administrative regency. They are : Central Jakarta, It is Jakarta's
smallest city and home to most of Jakarta’s administrative and political center. It is characterized by large
trade centers, great parks and Dutch colonial buildings. West Jakarta has the highest concentration of
small scale industries in Jakarta. South Jakarta, originally planned as a satellite city, is now the location of
large upscale shopping centers and affluent residential areas. South Jakarta functions as Jakarta's ground
water buffer, but recently the green belt areas are threatened by new developments. East Jakarta territory
is characterized by several industrial sectors erected in this city. North Jakarta is the only part of Jakarta
that is bounded by the sea. Large and medium scale industries are concentrated in North Jakarta. North
Jakarta also contains part of Jakarta Old Town, formerly known as Batavia since the 17th century, and was
a centre of VOC trade activity in Dutch East Indies. Kepulauan Seribu, is the only administrative regency of
Jakarta. It is a collection of hundreds of small islands located on the Java Sea. It has a high conservation
value because of its unique and special ecosystems. Marine tourism is the most important economic
booster in this territory.
Jakarta's business opportunities, as well as its potential to offer a higher standard of living, attract
migrants from all over Indonesia, making the city a melting pot of many communities and cultures. Jakarta
generates about one sixth of Indonesian GDP. Jakarta's economy depends highly on service sectors,
banking, trading, financial service, and manufacturing.
Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie is an Indonesian engineer who was President of Indonesia from 1998 to
1999. He succeeded Suharto in 1998. His presidency is seen as a transition to the post-Suharto era. It was
the third, and the shortest, after independence. Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie was born on 25th June 1936 in
Parepare, South Sulawesi, to Alwi Abdul Jalil Habibie and R. A. Tuti Marini Puspowardojo.
After he had quitted from Institut Teknologi Bandung, in 1954 Habibie started to study aviation and
aerospace at the University of Delft, Netherlands, but for political reasons, he had to continue his study in
Aachen, Germany. In 1960, Habibie received a degree in engineering in Germany, giving him the title
Diplom-Ingenieur. He remained in Germany as a research assistant under Hans Ebner at the Lehrstuhl und
Institut für Leichtbau, RWTH Aachen to conduct research for his doctoral degree. When Habibie’s
minimum wage salary forced him into part-time work, he found employment with the automotive marque
Talbot, where he became an advisor. Habibie worked on two projects which received funding from
Deutsche Bundesbahn. Due to his work with Makosh, the head of train constructions offered his position
to Habibie upon retirement three years later, but Habibie refused. In 1965, Habibie delivered his thesis in
aerospace engineering and received the grade of “very good” for his dissertation, giving him the title
Doktor der Ingenieurwissenschaften. During the same year, he accepted Hans Ebner’s offer to continue his
research on Thermoelastisitas and work toward his Habilitation, but he declined the offer to join RWTH as
a professor per se. His thesis about light construction for supersonic or hypersonic states also attracted
offers of employment from companies such as Boeing and Airbus, which Habibie again declined. Habibie
did accept a position with Messerschmitt- Bölkow-Blohm in Hamburg. There, he developed theories on
thermodynamics, construction, and aerodynamics known as the Habibie Factor, Habibie Theorem, and
Habibie Method, respectively. He worked for Messerschmit on the development of the Airbus A-300B
aircraft. In 1974, he was promoted to vice president of the company.
In 1974, Suharto recruited Habibie to return to Indonesia as part of Suharto’s drive to industrialize
and develop the country. Two years later, in 1976, Habibie was made Chief Executive Officer of the new
state-owned enterprise Industri Pesawat Terbang Nusantara. In 1978, he was appointed as Minister of
Resesarch and Technology. He continued to play an important role in IPTN other “strategic” industries in
this post.
Your vehicle’s radiator has the important job of regulating the temperature of your engine. It does
this by cycling coolant through coolant lines that run along the engine and back into the radiator to
dissipate the heat. This coolant can deteriorate over time, and it should be replaced. Here are the
proceedings to do it yourself ;
Make sure to purchase the correct amount and type of coolant. You can find the information you
need in the vehicle’s owner’s manual
Park the vehicle on level ground and be sure the radiator is cool enough
Disconnect the battery by loosening the bolt on the negative terminal of the battery and removing
the cable from the terminal.
Slide a bucket beneath the radiator to catch the draining coolant. Make sure you have a bucket that
is large enough to hold all of the fluid that will be drained from the radiator.
Locate the drain valve on the radiator. Your radiator is located at the front of the engine bay.
Open the drain valve and allow the coolant to drain into the bucket carefully. Do not allow the
coolant to drain onto the ground or into a drain.
Once the radiator is drained, close the valve tightly and open the radiator cap or the radiator
pressure cap.
Replace the radiator cap if necessary. If you can hear coolant boiling despite the car’s temperature
gauge indicating a normal temperature or if you notice bubbling coolant leaking from beneath the
radiator cap, you will likely need to replace it.
Use a jug to pour the coolant into the opening for the radiator pressure cap or into the coolant
reservoir and close the cap.
Start the engine and allow it to run for about ten minutes, this will cycle the water through the
coolant system to help you get the last of the old coolant drained.
Pour the drained coolant into sealable containers. And transport it to an authorized coolant
disposal location.

The Jatigede Dam is a rock-filled embankment dam on the Cimanuk River in Sumedang Regency, West
Java, Indonesia. It is located 19 km east of the town of Sumedang. The dam was first proposed in 1963 and after
decades of planning and protests, the Indonesian Government announced firm plans to proceed with the dam in
2004. Construction on the dam began in 2008 and it was completed in 2015. The contract to build the dam and
power plant was awarded to China's Sinohydro Corporation in May 2007.
The primary purpose of the dam is irrigation but it will also provide for flood control, water supply
and hydroelectric power generation. Water in the reservoir will be used to help irrigate 90,000 ha of farmland and to
drive the power station.
The Jatigede Dam is a 110 m high and 1,715 m long rock-fill embankment dam. Its crest is 12 m
wide and the body contains 6,700,000 m3 of fill. The dam's spillway uses a chute-type on the center of the
downstream face. It is controlled by four radial gates and has a discharge capacity of 4,468 m3/s. The
irrigation intake is located below the spillway. The dam withholds a reservoir with a
980,000,000 m3 storage capacity of which 877,000,000 m3 is useable for water supply and power
generation. The reservoir's catchment area encompasses 1,462 km2 while the man-made lake has a surface
area of 41.22 km2 . The dam's crest elevation is about 265 m and the normal reservoir elevation 260 m.
The power station is expected to be commissioned in 2019. The intake for the power plant will be
on the right abutment and will place water into a 3,050 m long head-race tunnel before reaching the
power plant downstream. The power plant will contain two 55 MW Francis turbine-generators with a
design hydraulic head of 170 m.
