Scope and Purpose
This research is about the relationship between Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI)
and country economic growth. This research also investigate the causality of of OFDI toward
economic growth. Hezer (2007) is the first person who carry out a research about OFDI. Before
this, most researchers are doing research about Inward Foreign Direct Investment. As the lack
of study about OFDI and economic growth, therefore I am interested to run the study regarding
this topic. The scope of study is economic financial. Financial integration such an important
part for a country financial status and growth.

Progress Status
To date, I have described the relationship between economic growth and OFDI. The data
collection is done. The finding of suitable theory or concept are still in progress. Chapter one
writing also in progress. The searching of suitable articles for chapter 2 are in progress.

Problem
The problem in the progress of my research is about the finding of suitable theory and concept.
I can’t build a good conceptual framework and theoretical framework. Lack of good source of
reading also my main problem in this research.
