A survey was conducted on questions related to discrimination against people with HIV/AIDS. 50 respondents answered questions on whether people with HIV/AIDS should feel ashamed, be thrown out of the community, or blamed for their illness. The majority responded "no" to these questions. Most respondents also said they would be willing to talk to, work with, and help someone with HIV/AIDS and would allow family members to interact with them. However, fewer agreed that people with HIV/AIDS should get married or that they would maintain a friendship if they discovered a close friend had HIV/AIDS. Overall, respondents showed support for basic human rights and inclusion of people living with HIV/AIDS.
