Borin,

Born in the small settlement of Aldain (Oak Grove) near the border
of Scoiä and Fendolin, Borin was brought up by his mother and father who were both
respected members of the community.

his father (Angis) having served the high chieftain of Scoïa as a cunning commander, and
his mother being an experienced shieldmaiden and blacksmith.

They met during a campaign against invading forces. As commander His father was tasked
with resupplying an important outpost, located near a remote border settlement.

whilst traversing through the settlement however, his compagnie was set upon by an
ambush.

Amidst the chaos of battle he was swept of his horse and hereby injured his left leg. It was
there he met Borin’s mother(Anna), A bonnie wee lass with a beautiful red main, Fighting off
several men pillaging her village. (Me da used to say that he has never seen a lass so
cunning with a frying pan, and so foul of tongue as she.)

They both fought of the scoundrels until they scurried away. since Angis was injured he
spent the night at the village with Anna. she tended to his wounds, and they shared stories.
After the night they both rode to the outpost.

Angis and Anna kept in contact in the months after, and a relationship quickly blossomed.
when the war ended Angis retired, married Anna and moved in to the village where they met.
only a year later their first son was born: Daegan. not soon after, Borin would follow.

Borin quickly grew into a cunning lad. he mastered both blade and bow fairly quickly and
with the help of his father, he and his brother learned to think like a tactician.With the help of
their mother they learned many skills needed to survive the harsh highlands of Scoia.
(tracking, herblore, and also the basics of the blacksmith trade.

They lived a happy life until a certain event changed everything.

Having to flee their burning home after losing their parents, Borin and Daegan could only
trust themselves, and since then they lived a nomadic lifestyle. traveling alongside the
border, they would only stay at the same place for a week. their parents untimely demise
filled them with anger and resentment. and after a while they had a falling out. Daegan went
his own way, going more inland. whilst Borin crossed the border to Fendolin, Doing
mercenary work where he could.

At a particularly difficult job, Borin found a young bear cubling looking for his mother. loving
the little creatures enthusiastic and curious nature, he adopted the cubling and cared for it as
it was his own child. the cub quickly grew into an impressive beast of immeasurable size.
Large, dangerous and impulsive yet still loyal to Borin.
no one has ever seen such a mercenary team so in sync with each other than those two.
