Prelim:
First day of our class Engr. Michelle J. Pamaylaon gave us the course outline of this subject.
She gave us instructions, some rules during the class and overview of the subject. She asks
questions about the past subject, the Mechanics of Fluids which is related to the subject. I know
for a fact that in the previous subject the learnings I get is not enough. Because there are some
topics that we didn’t tackle which is related to the topics of this subject. But I know in my mind
that Engr. Michelle will teach us the best that she can.
In prelim days, Reynolds Number topic may be the easiest topic but not that easy. Reynolds
Number is the transition of laminar to turbulent flow depend on the geometry, surface roughness,
flow velocity, surface temperature, and type of fluid among other things. Lots of formulas that
needed to be memorize in order to solve problems.

Midterm:
During this days, we tackle about the reservoirs actually Types of Reservoir Problems. In
this topic I admit that it’s really hard to analyze and solve when you don’t actually know the
concept. Quizzes are done and not a single quiz in this topic I pass as far as I remember. I know
I’m not a studios type of student and my effort in studying is not enough. Engr. Michelle always
says that find courage and a reason to continue and learn. That’s not really the terms that she used
but same thought. The thought is that I need to study more and don’t be too lazy.

Semi-Finals:
At this point, the grades had been submitted. I know in my mind and in my heart that I
failed in this subject and I wasn’t wrong. I failed. The result of being too lazy to study. Sad but I
need to wake up and need to fight to pass the subject. Engr. Michelle consulted us of was happening
to us. I know she’s trying her best to help us to pass the subject, that is why she talked to us and
give some advice.
During this days, we tackle Pipe Networks and Open Channel. Solving Pipe Networks
really need patience because it is too long to solve when we have two corrections needed to apply
in a problem. For Open Channel topic it is really need to know the concept and memorize formulas.
Formulas from previous topics and previous subjects.
Finals:
The final end has come. The last stage to fight for the subject. This time our topic was
about the Hydrodynamics. It deals with the study of motion of a fluid and of the interactions of the
fluid with its boundaries. This is the first and the last topic we have discussed in finals.

From all the things that we have than in this subject I know it is all worth it. The happiness,
heartaches, headaches and other results of being a student of this subject will always be a good
memory of mine. To all the life lessons, advices and for being the good instructor to us, Engr.
Pamaylaon, thank you for everything. I know she already give us the best as she can to help us.
