Rules & Guidelines for conducting Lab-Work

1) Students are not allowed to touch any equipment, other instruments in the laboratory
area until you are instructed by Teacher or Technician.
2) Before starting Laboratory work follow all written and verbal instructions carefully that
is given by the Professors.
3) Students are not allowed to work in Laboratory alone or without presence of the
teacher. Obtain authorization from the lab in charge prior to entering the lab working
area.
4) Any failure / break-down of equipment must be reported to the teacher.

Lab Safety Guidelines

5) Always disconnect a plug by pulling on the connector body not the cable.
6) Never by pass fuses or circuit breakers.
7) Electrical equipment and connections should not be handled with wet hands, nor should
they be used after liquid has been spilled on it.
8) Do not use a flash drive on lab computers.
9) Do not upload, delete or alter any software on the lab PC.

10) Do not use any machine that smokes, sparks, or appears defective in any way.
