SUBJECT: Amendment to Commission on Audit Resolution No. 2005-


014 dated December 27, 2005 on the qualification
standards set for Highly Technical, Primarily Confidential
and/or Policy- Determining (Third Level) Positions below
that of Chairman and Commissioners of COA with Salary
Grade {SG) -26 to SG-29

WHEREAS, the Commission on Audit (COA) underwent a series of


changes in its organizational structure resulting in the creation of positions
identified as highly technical, primarily confidential and/or policy-determining,
third level positions ( now Level II Managerial/Executive positions under the
Civil Service Rules and Regulations);

WHEREAS, there is a dea.rth of COA personnel promotable to third level


positions in view of the stringent qualification standards set for the positions;

WHEREAS, in view of the necessity of and so as not to create a vacuum


in the third level position, this Commission finds it imperative to amend the
existing qualification standards set for the said positions but, still, within the
limitation of the qualification standards provided for by the Civil Service for the
said positions;

WHEREFORE, THE COMMISSION HEREBY RESOLVES to amend the


qualification standards set for each of the following third level positions in the
Commission:

Position Title : Assistant Commissioner


Salary Grade: 29
Qualifications:

Education Master's Degree/LLB/Bachelor's Degree with


appropriate Republic Act (RA) No. 1080 eligibility
Experience: At least ten (10) years of highly technical functions
and/or responsibilities involving study and
recommendation of policies, at least two (2) years of
