Nusabit Husnain: Captain of Best debut team of all Pakistan HEC Rugby Championship

Rehman Rafique; has been awarded with a bronze medal and cash prize in All Pakistan HEC body building
Championship 2016-17.

Muhammad Raheel Waseem; the Captain of the team that participated in All Pakistan HEC Riffle shooting
championship 2015-16. This team has bagged 5th n 6th position in Skeet and trap.

Mubashir Habib: He has shown outstanding performance since the last two years in HEC weight lifting
competitions and has won bronze medal last year.

Two teams from Lahore Garrison University participated at National level in Global Hult prize Competition
2017

Muhammad Aqib: The group leader of Ozone Detoxifier participated in Global Hult prize competition
secured 3rd position and qualified for the regional finals in Dubai

Affefa Chaudry: The group leader of science squad who secured 4th Position in Global Hult prize.

Muhammad Mohsin: Participated in National Conference held at University of Sargodha and secured 1st
Position in Oral presentation.

Anam Hayat & Ruqaya Bano: were the runners up who presented posters by the title “Taboo Defacing
Gender” in Performing arts and Poster Competition held at UCP.

Umer Mushtaq: participated in Pakistan Huawei Academy ICT Skill Competition 2016 and maintained his
position in top 6 amongst 2300 students from more than 30 local universities. Therefore he qualified for
the final round in China.

Sharjeel Tahir: The group leader of the runners up team that participated in National Engineering and
Robotics Contest, competing 25 teams at national level. The team was successful in winning a cash prize
of 30,000 R.s

Nasir Abbas: attended union Centre of Media training held at Beirut, Lebanon

There is much more and I am sure we will further be having ceremony to recognize students at
their outstanding performances.
FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS
1. A national patent, filed by Dr Rasheda, Dr sumaira and Ms Affefa choudary had been
approved under patent ordinance 2000 on 9th August, 2017 (Patent application no
02/2017).The patent was on biopesticides against Dengue and material vector.
2. Another patent had been approved, filed by Khadija Tul Kubra titled as “Solar Driven
Hydrogen from Photocatalytic Water Splitting” (Submitted in Intellectual Property
Organization (IPO, Nov 2017)).
3. Ms RoheelaYasmin ( PhD Scholar) won scholarship of International Research Support
Initiative Programme Fellowship for research at UK.
4. Dr Abdul Hameed as PI and Col Dr Amjad (R) as Co PI. Successfully received Start-Up
Research Grant Program (SRGP) by HEC of worth 4,99,500 PKR. Impact of DNA damage
on differentiation potential of human Mesenchymal stem cells.
5. Col Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan (Retd) was awarded HEC trained PhD supervisor
certificate during March 2017.
6. Dr Aisha Waheed Qureshi was awarded HEC approved supervisor certificate.
7. Dr Raseda Jabeen was selected as member of National committee for curriculum revision.
8. Dr Mona Hassan, Faculty member of Chemistry Department had an IPFP Project.
9. Sir Hassan Ali Maan (Assistant Professor) Mass Communication participated and
represented LGU in 3rd world Media and Mass Communication in Kualalampur, Malaysia.
