Liquidation of the Alwar Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd.

RBI has cancelled the license issued to the captioned bank to carry on banking business
in India under Sec. 22 of Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (as applicable to Co-op societies)
read with section 56 of the Act vide ED’s speaking order No. DCBR. CO.AID/LC-
06/12.27.002/ 2018-19 dated July 03, 2018.

Consequent upon cancellation of banking license of the said entity, the Bank Registration
Cell of DICGC has cancelled registration of the said bank as an insured bank vide their
order No. DICGC.BRC/1090/05.60.999/ 2018-19 dated July 16, 2018.

The Additional Registrar of Co-op Societies (RCS), Bharatpur has appointed Shri
Madanlal Gurjar, Joint Registrar and M.D. Central Co-operative Bank, Alwar as official
Liquidator thereof. Guidelines have been issued by DICGC to the liquidator for timely
submission of the claim.

The deposit insurance is covered up to July 03, 2018, which may be noted for further
guidance in the matter.
