CRITERIA IN THE SELECTION OF THE AWARDEES

I. ACADEMICS

A. DEAN’S LISTER AWARD (ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE)

Recipient of this award is a graduating or undergraduate student, a consistent


Dean’s Lister; Academic or Equity scholar. This student has maintained the academic
standards set by the College department. He / She has maintained a General
Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 1.5 in all the semesters up to the 1 st semester
of the current school year and has no grade below 2.0 in any subject.

The recipient of this award will receive medal.

A. ACADEMIC CITATION

Recipient of this award is a graduating student who has maintained his / her
grades from first year to fourth/fifth year of the 1 st semester of the current school
year. He / She has maintained a General Weighted Average (GWA) of not less than
2.0 and no grades below 2.5 in all subjects.

The recipient of this award will receive medal.

II. CO – CURRICULAR

A. OUTSTANDING OFFICERS OF COUNCILS & ORGANIZATIONS

Recipient of this award must be:


a.) A recommendee by the adviser/s of the council / organization
b.) an active officer who has performed beyond his / her responsibilities of
his / her respective council / organization
c.) a dynamic participant in the activities conducted by the College and / or
the institution
d.) an obedient follower of the provisions stated in their respective
constitution and by – laws

The recipient of this award will receive a certificate.

B. LEADERSHIP AWARD

Recipient of this award must have been involved in the attainment of the
philosophy and objectives of the mission of the college department. He / She has
obtained the highest quality catholic education equipped with technical expertise
and leadership skills. The awardee/s must be nominated by the students of the same
council/organization. The recipient of this award will receive medal.
Specifically, He / She is someone who:
a.) leads and shares in the success of the activity initiated by the college
department
b.) suggests/ provides ways and means to solve problems emanating from the
student’s populace.
c.) Initiates and carries out student activities aligned with the objectives of Pasig
Catholic College

C. ACHIEVER’S AWARD

Recipient of this award must be a student who has achieved significant acts that
brought prestige to him / her and the school in general such as winning various
contests which may have been held inside or outside the school. For INSIDE
CONTESTS: It must be participated by students across programs of the college
department. Recipients of this award will receive certificates.

For OUTSIDE CONTESTS: Students who won from 1 st to 3rd place will receive
medals. In addition to this, students who were elected officers of any group or
organization outside the school but are affiliated with Pasig Catholic College will
receive certificate of participation.

Note: All nominees will be decided and approved by the Committee on


Recognition composed of the Program Coordinators and Advisers of the different
councils and organizations. After the deliberations, the OSA Head submits to the
Dean the names of the recommendees for his approval. Once approved, the
nominees or those chosen become the official recipients of the award.

CRITERIA IN THE SELECTION OF LATIN AWARDS


(EXCERPTS FROM MANUAL FOR STUDENTS)

Deserving students who obtained the following weighted accumulated averages who meet all
other requirements are awarded the corresponding honors for graduation.

SUMMA CUM LAUDE An average of at least 1.1


No grade lower than 1.7 in all subjects

MAGNA CUM LAUDE An average of at least 1.3


No grade lower than 2.0 in all subjects

CUM LAUDE An average of at least 1.5


No grade lower than 2.5 in all subjects

The following are used as bases for awarding of honors in addition to the minimum grade
requirements.

1. The candidates may not have dropped any subject.


2. Consideration for adjustment to College may be given to freshman in their first
semester, allowing them to obtain one grade lower than 2.5 but no lower grade than
2.8
3. The candidates for honor should have earned not less than 18 units per semester
unless the curriculum requirements provide otherwise.
