information? (20 points)
2) How do media offer opportunities and threats to its users? (20 points)
3) How do these current and future trends of Media and Information affect individuals and
society? (20 points)

Answer:

1. In this generation that Media effects are the intended or unintended consequences of
what the mass media does. The degree and type of effect varies depending on the theory.
In general, we underestimate the effect that the media has on us, as we tend to think that
media messages affect others more than us. This is actually so common that there is a
concept for it! The third-party effect is the phenomenon just described of people thinking
they are more immune to media influence than others. The new technology can have a
profound effect on human behaviour. New technologies give us capabilities that we did
not have before, which in turn create environments and situations that have not been
specifically addressed in ethical terms.
2. Opportunities to its users is like New advertising currencies are on their way, as the lines
blur between linear and digital media, advertisers are developing new currencies to
better understand and target consumers. This opportunities help user to gain experience
such as knowledge and ideas that they can use for their daily life. And also the threat to
users is Spear phishing, the cyber criminal’s bread and butter, spear phishing, and
performs incredibly well on social media. Social media is an inherently trusted platform,
lacks security visibility, and broadcasts its users to nefarious actors. A cybercriminal can
footprint an entire financial institution with no more than a LinkedIn query. This threats can
cause some trouble and trauma to some users to not use media anymore.
3. Now a days the current trends of media is helpful to the community and a certain individual
growth. This days the information in the media are both fake and original. We as the
media literate we knew that which is fake and which is original in the media. The fake
news tend to affect some of the media users were they can put they trust in the news or
something. From the future trends we know that there is a good thing can happen such as
new discoveries to let people know. From what is happening right now is ambiguous
making things happen so fast and the individuals are all in all just in social
media until late. This type of new trends are keeping
the individuals busy and as they knew more they seek also the truth and needed
to unsolved. The media also shape a person and made his/ her lazy and become anti-
social do not let that happen to you.
