INTRODUCTION
Introduction
Media has the power to influence individual beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.
Thus, social norms that influence and encourage gender violence have been targeted by policy
interventions using mass media communication. Prior research suggests that media influences
through two effects: the individual or direct effect (private) or the social or indirect effect
(public). In the individual effect, media information about new norms may persuade
individuals to accept them. In the social effect, the information creates common knowledge of
a norm and enhances social coordination as individuals more readily accept the information if
they believe others have also accepted it.

EDUCATION
MEDIA ON EDUCATION

The media really makes our learning process easier for it’s more
convenient, it saves time and it’s a whole lot easier. Teachers then write the topics
on the board but now, we make use of laptop and the projector. But, on the other
hand prolonged used of media for education will make the students be more
exposed to the internet and developed social disorders.
COMMUNICATIO
N
COMMUNICATION
Social media has not only found new ways of communication but also has reshaped the old
ones. The rise of social media has changed the world’s perspective on communication. The
increase in the speed of communication has created a sense of urgency and a need to share
things among people, provided an inside perspective of faraway places, and made digital
messages more personal. The traditional ways of communication have now been replaced
by modern ones. Much like everything, this concept also has two sides. One is an optimistic
side and the second a pessimistic one.
ECONOMY
AND
POLITICS
ECONOMY AND POLITICS
A free press is not a luxury. It is at the core of equitable development. The media can expose
corruption. They can keep a check on public policy by throwing a spotlight on government
action. They let people voice diverse opinions on governance and reform, and help build
public consensus to bring about change. Such media help markets work better. They can
facilitate trade, transmitting ideas and innovation across boundaries. The media are also
important for human development, bringing health and education information to remote
villages.
04
CONCLUSION
Media and information literacy provide the backbone
for understanding media and the role of media in our
society. MIL also provides some of the essential skills
necessary for critical thinking, analysis, self-
expression, and creativity—all necessary skills for
citizens in a democratic society. However, excessive
use can be harmful.
