Good Evening Friends, Family, fellow staff, Administrators and Board

Members. On behalf of the Graduates and _____ ISD, welcome you to

our Kindergarten Graduation Exercises.

Without further adieu, we would like our Graduates to enter.

Students Enter

Thank you students. We will now ask everyone to rise for the Pledges
to the United States of America and Texas Flags.

You may all be seated. Wow. Look at you guys- you look so sharp!

Students and Audience, I am honored to speak with you on this

momentous occasion. The idea of commencement, according to
Webster’s Dictionary is “the beginning of something”. Students, I
believe that the beginning of your “something” is as unique as each
one of you wearing a cap and gown this evening.

As I look out across the audience I see many people who have
sacrificed and worked diligently to see this day come to fruition. As
adults, we also can see where this moment is heading….towards the
beginning of a life that has not yet been walked.

I recount the words of Sir Francis Drake who more than 400 years ago
said “Disturb us Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves,
when our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little,
when we arrive safely because we have sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us Lord, to dare more boldly to venture on wider seas where
storms will show your mastery; where losing sight of land, we shall find
the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; and to
push in the future in strength, courage, hope and love.”

We have often talked about what it means to succeed. We have a daily

Badger Creed that we say each morning at Circle Time. The children
would like to share this with you. Students, I would like you stand for
your recital of the Badger Creed.

Thank you- you may be seated.

My hope as your Teacher is that I have strengthened your belief that

each one of you is unique, bright and special, and that nothing can
keep you from your success.

Extraordinaire, and Mrs. _______- Our Master Math/ESL Teacher. Folks,
these two ladies have been a vital part of your child’s success, each
and every day. We appreciate them so very much.

And last but certainly not least--to you Parents and family, a very
special thanks for what you do each and every day. You are your child’s
most important Teacher. I thank you… I have found a poem, author
unknown which sums up what I am trying to say. Some of you may
have already read it n our Class Web Page.

I would like _______, our Assistant Principal to come and read this to
you.
It is titled, Unity.

I dreamed I stood in a studio

and watched two sculptors there.
The clay they used was a young child's mind
and they fashioned it with care.
One was a teacher, the tools she used
were books, and music, and art.
One, a parent, with a guiding hand
and a gentle loving heart.
Day after day, the teacher toiled
with touch that was deft and sure.
While the parent labored by her side
and polished and smoothed it over.
And when at last their task was done,
they were proud of what they had wrought.
For the things they had molded into the child
could neither be sold nor bought.
And each agreed he would have failed
if he had worked alone.
For behind the parent stood the school,
And behind the teacher, the home.

Thank you Mr. ________. And now for our Diplomas.

First Row please stand.
