2019 MODERN SNARE DRUM COMPETITION

The MSDC is open to anyone ages 25 years old and under.

The MSDC will be divided into two Divisions:
Division I (ages 25 years old and under) and Division II (ages 19 years old and under)
The competition will be organized into three separate rounds for Division I and two separate rounds
for Division II. A set list of repertoire will be required for each round.

The competition jury will include the following members:

Tom Sherwood, MSDC Director, Section Percussion, The Cleveland Orchestra)
Marc Damoulakis - Principal Percussion, The Cleveland Orchestra, CIM
Charlkes Settle - Principal Percussion, Toronto Symphony
Gene Koshinski - Univ of MN -Duluth, Quey Duo
Ian Rosenbaum - Sandbox Percussion, RVS Percussion Collective

Application Fees: (Non-Refundable)

Division I - $100
Division II - $75

Application Deadline: May 1, 2019. (Space is limited)

Participants will be responsible for their own travel and housing expenses.
